  1. You got the wheels and tyres for it?
  2. Any stoke bashers still out there keeping the bashing spirit alive?
  3. Like many here I have ran many cars, including Traxxas. I dont think they are worth the cost new. But second hand i would have no issues with buying (and have done several times). They are a tried and tested design for the most part and whilst its dated - if it aint broke....... The Revo is one of the best bashing cars you can get. Make a few key upgrades as stuff breaks and its pretty much bullet proof in Nitro or Brushless. Thats not to say other cars are inferior. Theres plenty of other models that deliver. Im not a Traxxas 'fan' but im happy to call a spade a spade - they are good cars.
  4. Hi all I bought the Outlaw 2nd hand off here almost 2 years ago. And for 2 years it has sat in my garage unused. Now we have finished all the building work and my garage is now my little man cave again I decided to break out the RC. I gave it a quick spin when it was delivered 2 years ago and then put it away. Came to it yesterday and the 2s lipo and tx batteries all still full of charge ? So anyway - i have tweaked the controls to suit me and i got to thinking i need a new charger and more batteries, then I got to thinking I wonder how this stock 60a esc copes with 3s. I have read the stock esc is rubbish. 2s performance seems reasonable. Is 3s worth it? Im interested in hearing peoples views. Im worried 3s might be a bit too much, both for the esc and the drivetrain. Is the performance gain noticable enough to upgrade? I could feasibly chuck in a better esc if it blows. Just dont want to melt the esc AND the diffs halfway through the first 3s pack ? Cheers
  5. Hi all As title really. I have a d815 nitro buggy roller that i would like to convert to brushless. Looking for pointers and if anyone knows if a straight up conversion kit is availabe? I know HB share parts with HPI models so perhaps I could buy HPI electric parts and retrofit them? Anyone have experience of converting the d815? I have done a cursory google and nothing is leaping out. Cheers
  6. Hope you get along OK with the ST. Without a doubt it has been my favourite car over the years. I have ran it in nitro and brushless format. Parts are easy to come by on eBay and it is a tough truggy. When you are building it - just be aware that the front and rear CVD's are different lengths by a few MM. The slightly longer ones go in the back. If you put them in the wrong way around your front arms wont sit properly and the rear CVD's will keep jumping out of the drive cup on the rear diff. You can buy the Hyper 7 battery box on eBay and just do the necessary mods. Also, just be aware that the ST uses strange wheels that use a 1/2 inch offset, so be careful if you want to upgrade / change them for some bling ones. You could do a conversion on the hubs with extenders though which means you will have more options. I did a build thread on here years ago but unfortunately only the first part remains in tact. The other 2 parts have all but disappeared except for the first paragraph Perhaps it was a technical issue when they changed the forum software or something.
  7. Sorry. I didn't realise that my inbox capacity was nerfed as I let my gold membership lapse. Sorted now though.
  8. Hi - how easy/viable is it to convert this to brushless? Would the drivetrain need upgrading or is it a simple case of a conversion kit of some description? Looking to perhaps plonk a MMM combo in something like this (the price of the traxxax equivalent is obscene).
  9. The reply is very late, and im guilty of reviving a dead thread, but it seems the links in this post to the other 2 parts have been disabled. But they are still accessible: Part 1: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/60051-my-hyper-st-pro-build-and-kit-review-part-1-of-3/ Part 2: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/60052-my-hyper-st-pro-build-and-kit-review-part-2-of-3/
