  1. Does anyone have a carry bag for the 1/8th buggy? I'm looking for something to carry my Arrma Typhon 6s on my back... So far I've just found these two. Are there any other options? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/koswork-1-8-buggy-carrying-bag-1348612 https://ffracing.co.uk/products/ptk-8113-protek-rc-1-10-buggy-carrier-bag
  2. Sorry forgot I posted this - let me know if you ever fancy meeting up! I've been living here for a while but have yet to find anywhere decent to drive RCs...
  3. Any RC bashers around Portsmouth area?
  4. They've done so little, still using deans for a 6s rig... are HPI even in business?
  5. If anyone ever ventures round Grovelands, Oakwood or Cockfosters park - I'd happily meet up
  6. Ah ok understood, yeah it's a 6s 5200mAh lipo. I was using a Hyperion charger previously which was 180w so I guess I am used to that! Do you know how the discharger works? Is it a bank of resistors within the charger?
  7. Hi all, I've recently purchased a SkyRC e680 charger, however I can't work out the charging current rates. I've read the manual twice and watched countless Youtube videos, but can't find the answer to these problems. For example, when charging, I've got the current set to 5.2A (for my 5200mAh lipo). But when it charges it, the current never goes above 3.3-3.4A... And when discharging, I have the discharge current set to 2A. But when it discharges it, the current always starts at 0.4A and then eventually reduces to 0.1A... Am I doing something wrong? Also one more thing I've noticed, the charger charging the cells above 4.20v. I will see them go up to 4.21v or 4.22v - is this not dangerous? As a precaution, I set the TVC to 4.19v, but I'm still seeing the cells go over 4.21v... The charger knows what the end voltage should be. Yet it remains on 99% with the cells at 4.21v/4.22v for about 15 more minutes, trickle-charging at 0.3A. Why is this? Can I just end the charge manually instead? The cells end up with 4.22v.
  8. Gens Ace 4S 14.8v 5000mah 50C LiPo Battery EC5 - £40 Almost new, only has around 4 cycles on it. Never charged above 1C, never charged past 4.2v/cell, never discharged past 3.6v/cell, always stored at 3.85v/cell.
  9. I know this is a long shot but does anyone have a Batsafe charger stand? I've lost mine
  10. Thanks, do you know that as a fact? I asked the same question over on the Arrma forum and was told the switches are momentary, with no option to reassign the knob for dual rate control.
  11. Hi all, Does anyone know if the switches on the Radiolink RC4GS are latching or momentary? E.g. Can they be used for LED lights? Also, is it possible to assign the steering dual rate function to the channel 3 dial knob? Thanks!
  12. Thanks for the science behind it. I'm not too fussed about 1.5 hour charge time - more curious in the differences between those two chargers (if any)
  13. I've narrowed it down to either of these, but can't see much difference between the two. The SkyRC charger is cheaper and I think has better spec? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/skyrc-e680-ac-dc-80w-charger-440716 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/overlander-rc6-vsr-80watt-7a-output-ac-dc-lipo-balance-charger-408440
