  1. Well lads, I got a rig. it is the very very entry level FTX Outback 3 Paso. Got it for very cheap off FB marketplace. I was expecting it to be very small as Tomley, in his review said it is more like 1/12 scale, but surprise surprise when I opened the box it looked massive in my opinion. It did not come stock, it has upgrade servo 25kg, 110mil tires and 3s li-po. I cut the arches and extended them with some heavy duty gorilla tape, to accommodate the tires. Also the body was a bit battered, so I stitched it up with cable ties. Here some photos of it.
  2. I drive in Shoreditch Park. You are welcome anytime. There two more guys that drive here.
  3. Hello everyone, I have here a race spec buggy roller for swap/ sale. Hot Bodies D815 converted to brushless. HPI trophy motor mount and Hobao Hyper Cage battery tray. The roller will come brushless conversion equipped and will come with all nitro frames and parts. Nitro engine motor mount, nitro fuel tank, nitro centre diff tower, disc brakes. Roller have been literally driven 3 batteries cycles as brushless. Front end is shimmed and revised, there are no wobbles on the C hubs whatsoever. Chassis is high grade aluminium as well as all parts. Centre diff serviced, filled with Absima oil. Has tyres and wheels. ideally would swap for a truggy roller, it doesn’t matter if it has/ has not brushless conversion. I can pay money with the buggy roller depending on what you have/offer Reason for sale/swap is as mentioned above wanting to try truggy. Price per rules £150
  4. Hi guys! The buggy is finally done. 19t pinion, 4500mah 4s battery 80c, 200 000 oil in centre diff. The battery tray is from Hobao cage buggy. Everything sits nice and neat, just waiting on straps, thats why there is some tape. buggy pulls wheelies with this setup. Maybe I need to reduce the punch a bit.
  5. Budget is on the low side, if it is new probably max 300 and 2nd hand 200. On FB market there are a few rigs available for a very good price sub £200. Hi rock, geo, fury 2.0 and a texan. I am also looking on banggood and aliexpress. RGT rigs are very reasonable as well (I know they are the same as ftx) I want to drive on trails in the woods, also on rc trail tracks.
  6. Yes, but I really really like your texan build. I can see the same build on a fury 2.0 or even a high rock. I don’t know, there is so much choice.
  7. I am new to this part of the hobby. Possibly looking to buy a crawler, but I am unsure what to get. Budget is on the lower side of things. The dilemma is what to actually get. A rig with diff locks, 2 speed transmission and portal axles or a rig without those and upgrade from there? One I like is the new ftx gladius. The others I like are again ftx’s but do mot have the bells and whistles. Geo, hi-rock, fury 2.0 or the texan? what people think? Advice please 🙏 could also consider element rc enduro platform or any brand within the budget of the ones mentioned above! 👆 ideally I would like to compete but not professionally
  8. Not a big crash at all. Probably a bad welding, the battery is virtually on about 10 cycles . The battery and the car are safe and sound.
  9. Is that battery pack repairable?

    Pinion wanted

    Mod1 5mm 17t or 18t pinion is wanted!
  11. Hi all, I have managed to make some progress on the buggy. I bought a Spectrum Firma Combo 2050Kv motor and 150a esc which is available in most of the Arrma rigs. Also got a 1/8 HPI Trophy Buggy/Truggy motormount. It was straight fit. Well the holes matched but it needed some shims. Also got a Dumbo RC 6CH radio as it was rated the best budget Radio. The buggy is coming together very well, not only fitment wise but colour wise as well. Now, the combo is rated 3-6s, being a buggy I am wondering how many cells shoud I do? 4s I tried on a previous buggy but with 2650kv motor. Any advice on that? I am thinking going mid grounds and running 5s. Another question is gearing. What pinion should I get for 4s 5s 6s respectively? As mentioned, motor is 2050KV? Some pics of the work done so far:
  12. Hello everyone, I got back to the hobby after a two year break. I got my hands on HB racing D185 roller from Facebook market for very cheap. As it is a racing grade buggy it has some goodies. Some carbon bits. Good grade aluminium parts and quick setup changes for the suspension. Looks like a tough buggy which would take 6s haha. My previous buggy was Ansmann Virus 3.0 brushless conversion done by me. It was alright but this buggy is different animal. Now on to the questions. Anyone have any dimensions for the centre diff as I want to get a motormount. what motor should I get for it? What KV? The amsnann was with 2650kv and it was very fast on 4s but batteries didn’t last long. And there are some pics of the buggy itself
  13. Looking for a 1/8 buggy motor and a motor mount. The model is Hot Bodies D815, which is similar to HPI trophy buggy. Motor mount is wanted and a motor. the motor is preferred to be 4-6s ready and 1800-2200KV Please advertise me anything you have from the above mentioned. Thank you G
  14. Whats the price of the roller
