The shop use to offer discounts to members but sadly that went over 5 years ago, not sure why. I own MSUK-Forum, it is separate to Modelsport UK but we have worked a lot together and still continue to do so. Modelsport UK website actually had a very basic forum in 2002 that I was a moderator of (I was 14 then) but after a server crash they lost the entire website and didn't want to do a forum again, so I started MSUK-Forum with another member (TMX) who didn't stick around very long. Around 15 years strong now. Yes at one point I did work at Modelsport (under the alias John) for a couple of years but went travelling and lived abroad for a good amount of time. I'm back in the UK now! Modelsport UK is owned by a very humble family in Otley, they actually started as a newsagents and started selling RC helicopters, when they realized RC models made more money than papers, that's when they made the decision to start Modelsport. The IT guy there who makes the website and a lot of the technical side, was even their paper boy at the time (this was 30+ years ago!). The original owner is retired now and his son took his footsteps. Great down-to-earth people and I have much love for them. J The ESC was fully waterproof so did survive the snow, I actually went through 3 of them, 2 blew up, 1 in the snow and 1 on a speed run on tarmac.
