That's precisely the stuff I bought for my X-Maxx.

Body's still in paint.

Plan was to tape, Shoo Goo, then also spray the inside - make as 'super-tough' as possible.

Can't answer - yet - but great minds ....

Ha exactly my thoughts fella it's meant to be a rubber paint so I'm thinking forget the shoo goo and replace with paint easier to apply as well ?

Not sure.

Tape doesn't seem that 'adhesive'. May need the Shoo Goo anyway, then just a 'sprinkling' of the bed liner to protect against gravel rash.

That was my plan anyway.

Once I get the body, I'll test on scraps to see just how thickly it comes out - may limit the mounting ...

You could always use the stuff they use on bottom half of some cars to prevent stone chips etc and it comes in spray so easier to apply.

3 or 4 coats of something like that or other brands but same thing

That rig looks nice!!!

Anyone ever used flexacryl???

Might be worth a try, its waterproof fibreglass reinforced paint, its commonly used as a flooring/roofing paint.

I've used it many times, imagine a really thick paint with a mixture of powdered, short, and long strands of fibreglass mixed in.

Put it this way, I've seen terraced (able to walk on it, use as a rooftop eating space etc etc) flat roofs that have had one coat of that stuff still be OK 8 years after applying.
