Not sure any of the aftermarket tank smokers will stand up to being moved around like that without spilling it's load. Maybe a graupner smoker for boats would work. Maybe one of these? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RC-Drift-Car-Rauch-generator-Smoke-generator-to-fit-Yokomo-LRP-HPI-Tamiya-MST-/121961384820 . mond
That is probably better than the other options as it has some tolerance to rocking about.
johninderby
Now just have to wait for them to release an El Toro. Just might be crazy enough to give it a try. John Edited September 23, 2016 by johninderby
mond
If you order it now, it might make it from Australia in time.

The old Triang smoke generator for the Britannia and Winston Churchill would - alloy case, wadding you soaked in oil, with a heating element - and a small piston. Al. Al. Well they are available on eBay so a possibility. Now just to wait on Axial. John
Ady 2215
So has anyone seen these jconcepts tribute wheels and tyres. They look awesome much wider than the original ones. Out of stock from jconcepts. Does anyone else know where you might be able to get them.

atom3624
That looks so much better its unreal. Great! Just needs more power - '3S tamed a little' is about right. 2S is much too slow, but a straight drop-in of 3S is too fast. Al.

You also have the option of Proline Destroyers and Brawlers. Both these and the Jconcepts wheels/tyres are standard 2.6 clod wheels but with the 12mm hex fitment. I would say though, if you watch modern monsterjam, Axial has got it right on the scale factor, the 2.2 stock wheels are fairly well scaled.
atom3624
You're probably right. They could be a little bit big, but they do look good!! Al.
Ady 2215
The axial ones to me just look not as wide, and are set back a bit from the body. The real monster jam trucks there wheels are close to the body and look wider to me.
Ady 2215
Rpp hobby have the jconcepts tribute monster truck wheels and renegade tyres in stock if anyone interested. http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/jco3377s.htm Just ordered mine. Looks awesome. Miles better than the original set of tyres. Imo.
mond
Make sure to review them when you get them. I'm interested in some for my Barbarian.
atom3624
VERY NICE detailing. They definitely need dyeing / painting - can't keep such a big effort 80% done. Al.

Ordered my wheels in silver but in the picture they look silvery/gray. Going to paint the rim edges in green to match the roll cage. Also getting some BKT tyre stickers made but not sure how going to fit them as these jconcepts renegade tyres have loads of raise writing on the side wall. Will cross that bridge later. Made some proper red headlights using traxxas grave digger led light kit and some clear lens painted in clear red. When put all together should be sweet as. Hopefully. atom3624
Sounds great. Nobody seemed to notice, but the MTXL wheels I'm running my X-Maxx with are painted as well - just hated the Noddy-looking gel coat on them! Al.
