legacydan
I wish i found this site before i ordered my RC car. I received delivery of a Yama RC 26cc buggy today from Nitrotek. Took it out at lunch time for its first run. primed it etc, pulled the motor starter half way and the thing snaps and bits of plastic hit me in the face! AWESOME! Now im stuck with a a big paper wait until the send me a replacement start handle. Anyone know if its a widespread issue with these models. i know realise they are at the budget end of 1/5 scale petrol RC cars, i was just going off the advice off a co-worker that has one. I opened a support ticket with Nitrotek and hopefully they send me out a replacement starter asap so i can start breaking other parts on it! Pictures of offending part: So i guess i'll just be looking at it now until i get it repaired Is there any parts i should replace, add to this to get the most from it, ill probably mainly use it on grass and tarmac and dirt paths. If it goes out of range does it cut the throttle or is there an extra kill switch or something i need to install? Im looking forward to learning a lot on this forum! Toxic Basher
I had a similar experience with a hsp bug crusher from nitrotek but I ended up buying 3 of them before I found this forum. I couldn't find spares so just bought another full car then another. Anyway welcome to the forum bud. I've no experience with petrol but you gave me a chuckle so thank you. legacydan
Thanks guys, ill open another thread for more specific info in the petrol section. i know there is more expensive more more reliable, well built options, it all depends on how much you are willing to spend i suppose! The more money i spend on these RC cars, the less money i get to spend on my Subaru, so it has to be a fine balance!
super sharp shooter
If you google nitrotek and you will see many unhappy customers.

Alex97
Welcome to the forum!!!! Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your first rc. The first rule of rc is stay well away from nitrotek as their models are mostly rubbish with very poor part support. I hope they get it all sorted out.
