Arrowmax, we would usually recommend these over EDS because of the price.

The multitools by Fastrax are also good, where the bits fit into the handle. I used these as a backup (and to stick in my pocket out on field) then the Arrowmax sets in my toolbox. :good:

I had Hobbyking and didn't like them, too soft and visible wear in only a few uses.

I only use 1.5mm and 2mm hex drivers for my buggy ATM. I currently have the fastraxs ones and they have been great so far but changing the tool bits can get annoying.

Exactly why I got a fixed tip set, Fastrax ones are still great for those on the move jobs, then have Arrowmax in your toolbox / man cave.

just looked on modelsport and they don't have the 2mm one listed on there website at all, looks like ill be ordering it from MB models then.

Is this not it?

'ball hex' lets you screw on an angle for those hard to reach ones.  Comes at the ex pence of higher screw stripping though.  But better than std hex on an angle ;)

Use the 'ball hex' when you have to kinda thing.

hope that makes sense

Ah well spotted, little difference. Ball is like a rounded hex so you can insert it at an angle into hex heads. Good for accessibility but they do run a slightly higher risk of rounding screws.

You could buy the tip separately here (which is in stock):

Annoyingly they don't do a 1.5mm Ball Hex, so you can't really get a matching pair, unless you buy the tip separately. I have a feeling this is a listing error on their site, they usually carry the hex tools individually, maybe they haven't listed it (or got confused about hex and ball hex themselves).

I will get in touch for you.

can u also ask about 'power tool' tips?  (arrowmax) could use a new 1.5 in the near future.

They can get these in, they sell the pack of 4 here:

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/arrowmax-power-tool-tip-cased-set-4-pcs;-1.5-2.0-2.5-3.0mm/rc-car-products/367332

If you want one individually, just look up the product number of the one you would like here:

http://www.arrowmax-rc.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=200_173

Then send an e-mail with the product number to "[email protected]" and just ask if they could list it on their store, so you can make a backorder. :good: They usually do this pretty quick.

No wonder I couldn't find hex drivers. What's the diffrrence between ball and hex?

Hey Alex,

I got the 2.0 listed on Modelsport now, you can find it here:

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/arrowmax-allen-wrench-2.0x120mm/rc-car-products/387656

and the 1.5 again for your convenience :P ...

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/arrowmax-hex-driver-1.5mm-x-120-mm/rc-car-products/40240

The ball hexs only go down to 2.0, this is because the tip is too narrow to have the ball design on a 1.5, it would just snap.

So what was the result? I bought turnigy ones and to be fair they are rubbish.

What can I buy that are going to last and where from?

Arrowmax.

Fullset:

I've got eds, nice and tight and did not left my wallet dry, got out stripped screws in which regular hex driver would just spin

Very very tight fit in new screws

Not used much so no idea about reliability
