The lower Kv is better suited to heavier vehicles, like MTs and truggy's. The higher kv is better for buggys.

Low kv = more torque.

High kv = more rpm.

Lower Kv tends to handle higher voltages.

Higher kv is best for lower voltages. This isn't because it isn't rated for higher voltages, but due to its rpm limit. More voltage will induce more rotor speed.
