Micro rs4 batteries

Hi Dave and welcome

You will be able to find better packs with slightly higher voltage and better duration for sure. What i did with mine was to make a 6 cell pack from loose cells,it doesnt sound a lot-just an extra 1.2v but gives a big hike in speed and power.

You could look at using lipo too but youll need to do a little research on the voltage capability of the HPI electronics as its something i havnt really looked at with the micro RS4.

The lipos will give a big hike in volts and save a large amount of weight in comparison to NiMh cells.

Its a good looking model the Ken Block kit.....im tempted-but busy with other builds  :whistling:

Yeah im surprised to see it re-released but its a good move by HPI  theres lots of these about but not very much support for them as they seem to have been forgotten somehow  :xd:

I know that a lot went brush-less with them but for me in my running area brushed was enough on such a small platform and going 7.2v was a good improvement over stock.

I kept mine all HPI parts but the GPM stuff seemed a popular choice at a lower price point.
