everclear1984
I went for Proline Trenchers. If they look odd with smaller fronts I'll just set them aside for when I can pick up a matching set.
cookie666uk
Believe me when I say this guy's, get the hpi steering rack. The difference it makes is night/day. All of sudden the 1/8 boys at the track are worrying I'm gonna fly past em! Definitely worth the 55 quid. Plus it's the best quality machining ive seen in rc parts so far

ostewart
It really is a huge upgrade, that and white ESE rod ends, makes a hell of a difference. I remember I borrowed a stock blitz when mine was out of action, wow was the steering slow and sloppy. Mine with the HPI steering rack and savox SC1257 is so quick and responsive.
cookie666uk
I have been having a problem with rod ends. Tbf I have been giving it some serious abuse though. I was wondering whether they would make a better purchase than the stock items so I think you've sold me Oscar
Tug
I want the rack, but that price!
ostewart
My blitz has very little slop, and is very stiff and responsive which is how I like it. It can be a handful to drive sometimes but at least it responds to input instantly, and can actually corner. Also see how much the rear shock tower flexes, its crazy. Went alum on that, not necessary but I can now tune the shocks properly as they do all the work as they should. No extra flex from arms or towers. Tug
As Mine's purely a basher, I prefer a tower that flexes, but some more responsive turn in would be nice.
cookie666uk
For bashing all you need is that steering rack. Fit and forget. No need for alum towers on a basher. I'm sure it makes up for its price by reducing the need for a number of other bits
ostewart
Well the steering rack and ESE rod ends are great upgrades for a basher, along with chassis braces. In my opinion the steering knuckles are also a good part to upgrade, as I got fed up of stripping out the plastic ones, even RPM ones stripped too easily, so I went aluminium, they have been in place for many months without being removed and are still holding up perfectly. everclear1984
Well I'm glad I ordered the Trenchers
everclear1984
I've just got back from an awesome couple of hours bashing. The Trenchers are incredible, so much control I don't know what to do with it lol Looks like I'll be busy cleaning for the next hour or so though

everclear1984
Unfortunately I haven't tried Badlands yet. I've tried Nanda blocks though and i'd say the Trenchers are at least on par with them.
cookie666uk
I'm gonna try trenchers out too. The nandas are great but they maybe have a little too much grip...
everclear1984
The Trenchers have more than enough grip to over power the weak steering setup on the Blitz. The upgraded steering rack is next on my list.
cookie666uk
Already fitted on mine. As mentioned before, day night difference! Next on my list is shocks. Still on stock front wheels atm

cookie666uk
Done a good job on that son. Which reminds me. Full rebuild kit to order for mine. I've just ordered t bones for the Hyper and was wondering if anyone had a rear tbone fitted to the blitz. Reason being is my motor can has taken a bit of a beating at one end. What I'm asking is does it give more protection to the motor than the stock bumper?
everclear1984
I've been tempted to pick up a rear tbone myself, if you go for let me know how you get. I've settle for ese bumpers and braces for now.
cookie666uk
I'm happy with the stock front bumper. It's done a sterling job so far so I feel there's no need to replace it. The rear however leave the can horribly exposed to stones. Google image research required
everclear1984
The tbone looks more rigid, I'd like to see it mounted without the shell though. I agree, the front has been great but I snapped the rear brace straight away and the bumper quickly followed. The ese kit includes front and rear bumpers so I might as well change them both. cookie666uk
I can't find any pictures of it mounted without a shell. I may bite the bullet after Christmas and report back
Sharkster
is there any way to keep the wheel lock nuts from falling off after a few mins, they keep doing it esp the rear ones
