Well got it all back together only to have an oil leak from the bell housing. Now i changed the rear crank seal as it was weeping before
the gearbox failure so guessed the issue is where its sealed to the sump gasket.

So out with the tools today to remove the sump and see whats going on. Found that id pinched the gasket when fitting the crank seal.

All cleaned up with new sump gasket sealed correctly seems to have sorted the oil leak issue.

Now about 4 years ago after reading some oil pump bolt horror stories i bought one of the new ones with the thread lock. Never got round to fitting it so thought today two birds with one stone.
Was a bit alarmed to find the old bolt had backed out about 5mm so may have dodged a very expensive bullet

Cost about £1400 in parts and lots of hours work. Im quite pleased as im no mechanic and it was quite a big job to undertake on the drive with just basic tools.

Just shows what you can do if you put your mind to it :thumbsup:

Im really pleased with it. You can see why they cost so much in the quality of it. So easy to setup and pack away. Just need to wait till the end of the month now for the MMR national
