bradderz Posted November 6, 2011 Share Posted November 6, 2011 hey guys, sitting here bored and remembered its christmas soon and was just wondering what everyone is receiving for xmas(if you know) or if u know someone is planning to suprise u... so wether it be RC items(doubt anyones getting through xmas without having an rc related prezzy!) or non-rc items, if u know what your getting then post it up also are any of u going away for christmas? i'll start by saying im not too sure, i know me mum has surprised me with something, and since my sound system crapped out on me a few weeks back she wants to buy me a new sound system! woo will be home for xmas as always, nice real tree up to get that really nice fresh smell, lights etc... Apart from that, not entirely sure. 99% certainty I'll have a job next week anyway so I'm gonna save up some cash and even though the job is supposed to be temporary, there is the potential to stay on after christmas. barnetbasher Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 hopefully an epic hangover, much food, and afew terry pratchett books [expanding my discworld collection]. apart from that i dont know, i've been told its something related to fitness but i cant figure out what a copy of "men's health" ? ha im hoping to get mrs a picture at an auction...kind of an adventure for both of us to go and have a bid or two. trouble with presents for me is...ive got such specialist hobbies that unless i ask for exact items , people dont know what to get. but...i like being susprised and getting gifts that have required some thought. on the flip side..i have a hippy friend who always "makes" me something (bless her) shes like phoebe from friends ...thoughtful...but hopeless HA ! (one year it was feta cheese in fancy oil in an ornate jar, next year was homemade honeycombe and chocolate) logistics for crimble are always a frustration for me... my family are 120 miles north of me and all see other people (new mrs family or friends from years ago) as much as i try , i can never get them to actually agree to all have crimble day together....they seem legally bound to do the same thing every year ! (oh well we couldnt let so and so down as we see them every year (even though they are not family) anyway...rant over...we tend to hook up boxing day or the day after. I love chilling out and watching tv or chatting to people who visit....oh and my oldest is not 3 1/2 so very aware of the whole caboodle....fun ! anyone got ideas for gifts they want to chuck in ? i got a bro who is late 40s...pretty much got everything he wants...so need something interesting. sister same age....again..she can never tell me what she wants...GOH ! best mate....he's well off and treats himself to stuff so it would need to be something different. maybe we could start a gift idea thread ! b_hawk111 Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 logistics for crimble are always a frustration for me... tell me about it lol, im at uni in derby, girlfriend lives 20 miles north of derby, i live 120 miles south of it, so i think the chances of me seeing her on chirstmas is veryy slim :/ but i cant just see her as i see her every day pretty much when we are in derby, while the last time i saw my parents was over a month ago now, and will still be almost another month till i see them next but anyway, so christmas will be at home, open fire if its cold, masssive christmas dinner with the family, hopefully copious amounts of pigs in blankets not sure what im getting, proabably not much rc stuff as im pretty much set now, but i would like the norm of some cds and dvds, maybe some parts for the motorbike, looking forward to the christmas dinner the most i think its defo my favorite bit the boxing day hangover however... not so good Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
