gst 7.7 brushless

Anything is possible...but some conversions are less possible than others.....

There are a few things you REALLY need to consider before you set out on this.

1) Engine mount.

You probably won;t find one built specifically for this truck. It's not a common truck, and as such doesn;t have a ready market for brushless conversion. You will need to get one made up to fit in place of the nitro mount, or combine it with a custom built engine plate.

2) Drivetrain.

Brushless puts a lot more stress on a drivetrain. The torque is a lot more instant....and that plays havoc with multi-gear gearboxes. Savages, for example, have a 2-speed box as standard, but this has to be locked to single speed for brushless, as it just tears teh gearshift mechanism apart. You also do not need to change up as the brushless motor is a lot less rev dependant.

Now..those issues aside, you may well be able to successfully convert the truck. The GST 7.7 is a big truck, so you will need a big motor/ESC combo to power it. Before you invest in that, solve the initial problems of mounting.

Personally...I would keep the Genesis stock. They are huge beasts and really need a nice big nitro engine :)

If you have spare cash and want a big brushless truck, get your self a Savage Flux!
