Hot bodies D8/T owners club

Recommended Posts

It's not really been used since I built it, still sat in my garage on the starter box, new engine has not seen that much work other than sat on tick over to run in a bit.

Tekno RC Rear Shock Tower

Tekno RC Rear Wing Mount

King Headz Upper Servo Saver Arm HBD8-065

King Headz Front Torque Arm HBD8-060

King Headz Rear Chassis Brace HBD8- 070

M2C Racing Rear Toe Block System m2c8900

M2C Racing 3mm Outer Captured Hinge Pins m2c8915

M2C Racing 4mm Captured Front Hinge Pins m2c8910

M2C Racing 4mm Inner Tapered Hinge Pins m2c8901

Parts received....

DE Racing Front Skid Plates

DE Racing Rear Skid Plates

DE Racing Mug Guards

Just the start of the parts being ordered for this build, gonna be smoking!! Tekno RC parts next!!

Question time, think I've asked this but want to double check the answer. Hot Bodies D8T stock wheels, what size tyres?? 3.2?

I want Badlands but I can't find any to fit the stock HB wheels??

Also a question for all the "E" conversion boyz, what kv motor?? 1700kv, 1550kv? And what size pinion and spur gear?

1550 0n 5s perfect, and I use V2s with Grinders

They're not D8T ones are they? :whistling:

Nope, but I just been reading on Amainhobbies that the ones I have are for the D8 & do not fit the Hara D8!! :shockingscary:

Well my King Headz parts arrived today, very nice quality parts. Also I've bought a HB D8 Hara ED roller (new) which I'm going to rape of the upgrades like the aluminium knuckles, rear hubs, shock mounts, diff rings etc. I might sell what's left or I might stick an RCM conversion kit in it at a later date??

I have also now got a set of Mugen MBX5T extended hexes which do fit the D8/D8T so if anybody wants to widen their buggy/truggy then let it be known they fit.

Just place another order, this time with A Main Hobbies and ordered the following:

  • Tekno RC Steering Brace
  • Tekno RC Stub Axles w/ Pin Retainers (2) x2
  • Tekno RC Pin Retainer Set (2)
  • Tekno RC V4 Front/Centre CV Driveshaft x2
  • Tekno RC V4 Rear/Centre CV Driveshaft
  • Lunsford Racing Titanium Lower Shock Mount Screws (4)

So I'm still waiting on the M2C Racing order, should be here soon and do have some parts left to order when funds allow like the Tekno RC V4 Conversion and a 1550kv Tekin T8 but I'm getting there slowly. :whistling:

Well my M2C Racing order finally arrived today, looking very nice.

Anybody know of any aluminium diff cases that fits the D8/D8T, I found this on A Main Hobbies but the price puts me off. I don't mind spending my hard earned but three of those will put me weeks or even months behind with this project.

I'd love a D8T. Any idea where I could get one without the massive pricetag? Anyone selling a roller second hand? I would do a brushless conversion.

Have a look on maxbashing.com, I'll try and find you a link to one as I remember seeing one. EDIT: http://www.maxbashing.com/mbforum/showthread.php?t=18838

Might be sold might not :) also comes with brushless conversion

LMAO Jimmy, I don't think a Baja diff case will fit in a D8T mate!
