Hobbyking Live 2nd-3rd July 2016 Rougham Airfield Suffolk

Recommended Posts

Hobbyking live again at their uk warehouse location. Was good last year especially as it had a 1/8 and crawler track to run on which they're having again this year.

You can either order items from their warehouse before the day and collect or order on the day but it has to be done via your phone/tablet etc as they didn't have an 'order point' last year.

if we do order before the actual day, how are we supposed to collect it from them as they don't have a contact number to get in touch apart from their online support service?

The warehouse will be open so you just walk up with your order number etc and collect.

Just got back. Bigger venue this year so more spread out with boats, planes, quads and cars. Less people there this year than previous.

@cookie666uk and I managed to have a couple of runs on the car track which was well laid out and a good size.

No free food this year but was happy to find the burgers etc on offer were reasonably priced. Loads of empty space which would have been prime for an rc car boot setup so the public could sell stuff alas the only bits for sale were a few models that people had on their club stands. Did manage to pick up some wheels just by chance. Hobbyking are missing a trick by not having stuff for sale, I know it's impossible to have everything there but a few of each model some batteries/chargers etc and they would have sold, especially if they got a 5-10% 'show discount' or something, people had cash in their pockets with nothing to buy!. They had 4 or 5 of their cars on display on a camping table in the corner of the track and some planes in the flying area and that was it.

Went back today. Found a leaflet on the floor mentioning 10% off order made at the event! I asked someone who had just finished ordering if he knew anything about this and he said no! I Then found a small box with the leaflets in, seem they were happy to do the offer but didn't want to advertise it. I collected my order that I had made from home at 7am this morning if I had known I would have ordered there!
