  1. I wonder if the market spoke and (shock horror!) Tamiya UK listened?
  2. These are the rims it needs, visual larger looking: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/hpi-rtr-wheel-26mm-gunmetal-6mm-offset-2pcs--378704
  3. The suspension seems a bit hard if its cocking a back wheel! Or will it behave with the weight of the body?
  4. Even the cheapest TT02 comes with two widths of 12mm hexes, yet the distributor does this at a trade show 🀐 Apart from that the shells a beauty!
  5. If it’s pre-assembled I’d check the diffs and gearbox for grease, and maybe I’d add a Hobbywing 1080 esc for smoother control. But in the meantime just enjoy it πŸ‘
  6. Wheels are too small I reckon, might just need different rims. A 992 is huge in real life.
  7. Find the settings out yourself! Being curt to anyone who offered advice here isn’t exactly in the spirit of things!
  8. Depend on the grade of stainless, the cleanliness’s of the hole and the tool quality don’t forget. I do only use stainless fixings once though.
  9. The fixed arm attached to the servo often means your wheels slightly off centre (with the power off). By fitting an adjustable length arm you can get the steering trimmed/ square on the car itself rather than using the radio to adjust. The TT02 will take quite few shims (washers) to take the slack out if the suspension, this will also affect the steering tracking, if only minimally. Have a look 15 minutes in for a better explanation !
  10. Make an adjustable arm for the servo. Or buy one one of these πŸ‘ https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115654927057?hash=item1aed9222d1:g:DHUAAOSwrMxjqyps&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoOUG9s2RdL%2BdMyhhYr%2FniahgQzZC9TX3dxmTLE6ml8sh7EyjE7f%2FkH1WqtXNwSjcBM5dUV%2BGZNC9%2FF%2Bq2nZqjM2j%2F%2BVb%2BXxXUX6HoXyJ7fla7DyHcQi9Od6ylvJcfXi9JqY%2FG5eBc6FprjH6yDchOlur4IOc2X8%2Bov2d5GCfwEzY9e%2Fotuqp5OyD5GZCaLTzVxvbtN6kGlSuqVOL0vtvVq8%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR-Tdl_DBYQ
  11. I’d sell/swap the Demon motor out for something easily replaced, the buggy is in really good fettle for its age πŸ‘
  12. Have you been keeping the Texan in a cold room? Its spotless! Love the martini striped Komodo and the 8 wheel tractor unit.
  13. Looking good, those wheels are just beautifull 😎 I can’t stand red diff covers either!

    Tamiya TT02

Regardless treat yourself to one of these! Stiff as anything and tough as old boots πŸ‘ https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/tamiya-tt-02-lower-deck-hard-black-444286

    Tamiya TT02

I would definitely budget for a set of dampers, more so than spending the motor and mount money. Or you could go this way??? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/tamiya-tt-02d-drift-spec-chassis-380995 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/tamiya-rc-clear-body-set-lancia-delta-386883 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/fastrax-rally-block-1-10th-off-road-tyres-with-inserts-4-blue-medium-compound-11424
  16. I’ve found the cheapies better than the Carson!
  17. Nice Vettel reference πŸ˜‰ Scored a bargain there too!
  18. Thank you all, lots to investigate πŸ‘ More to spend!
  19. The TB05 was too beautiful to get dirty 😁
  20. So is green slime still the best, or is there anything better? Just rebuilt some shocks and I’ve used up my supply and wondered if the forum had better ideas!
  21. Beetle looks good, give it a coat of clear lacquer to bring the colour up.
  22. Those Plano boxes are normally tough as old boots πŸ‘
  23. Looking good so far, just some idle thoughts 🀠 (and you would have to mount the gearbox back maybe 50mm) but you could slip one of these in series to lower the gear ratio? https://www.injora.com/products/metal-1-3-ratio-reducer-planetary-gearbox-transmission-box-for-axial-scx10?_pos=8&_sid=73fd91a17&_ss=r https://www.elitemodelsonline.co.uk/Cars/By-Manufacturer/Lesu/Axles-Suspension-Drivetrain/94480-/Lesu-114-Planetary-Reduction-Gearbox-141 I have a 14:1 for my next project waiting, only I have started building something else 😁 I will add I found the Carson motors variable (even though the truck world swear by them) and I used a Holmes 540 crawler motor in place, very tractable, they are all satin black too.
  24. Everyone loves spending money πŸ˜‚
