  1. - When you're at work and you check the "Ring" doorbell app to see your Mrs necking on with the Amazon delivery driver. 😉
  2. Thanks for the insight mate. I think its a gonner. On close inspection the caps seem like they've fused together. I'm keeping an eye out for a new one.
  3. Thanks Glenn. I don't own a multimeter unfortunately. I'll ask around.
  4. Hi folks... It's been a while since I've visited the site but I thought I'd check in as I'm looking to get back into RC after some time away from the hobby and I need some advice. I have an Arrma Typhon (v4) and I'm not getting any response from the esc with freshly charged batteries. Absolutely, nothing... No fan, no lights, no beeps... Nowt. I've removed the esc (BLX 185 version) and the casing and after taking a close look... it looks to me like it's possibly smoulered a little around the capacitors... See Image below. As I'm still very much an RC noob I wondered if I get I could get some advice on whether it's cooked and needs replacing? I also wondered whether people are aware of issues with this particular ESC and if a replacement is needed, would it be worthwhile replacing this with another? Possibly the newer Spectrum Firma version which comes as stock on the V5? Or if anyone is aware of a different ESC that will drop into my V4 Typhon without any modifications then please let me know. My Typhon is completely stock. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day.
  5. Still available. 180 posted. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal but no fees please.
  6. Yep. Fully aware, and as I explained in my message I'll get to the post office by Friday to price it up and let you know. It'll be offered to you on a first refusal basis and should you decide not to buy I'll pursue other options.
  7. Hello mate. I've got a few people interested in the job lot so I'm hoping it will be sold soon. If not I may consider splitting and I'll send you a message if you like?
  8. Providing I can find a box big enough I would mate. But it would be at the buyers expense. Send me a pm if you're serious and I'll sort it. 😊
  9. A 1:10 Hobby Grade RC Monster Truck Job Lot. Including some new / unused parts and batteries. Maverick Strada Brushless MT - Pretty much immaculate with no marks or wear to be seen. Shell is also in as new condition. BSD Racing Flux Onslaught V1 - In used condition. A fast, 3s capable truck. Shell in good condition although has some small cracks near the body holes. Both cars currently have no electronics installed and will be sold as rolling chassis with the following parts: Surpass Hobby Brushless motor /60amp ESC combo. Boxed with manuals. Used once, a powerful set up. 3660 - 3000 Kv Brushless motor. Boxed with manual. Gool RC MTG3 TX/RX - New and unused. 2x 9kg servos with attachments - Unused. All stock BSD Racing electronics present - Servo, ESC, TX/RX and Brushless motor (The stock motor works although it's cogging. It should work fine after a refurb). 1x BSD 3200mAh 2s Lipo 1x Goldbat 2200 3s Lipo Both lipos have always been balance charged and stored properly after use. 2X 3800 Nimh batteries. Untested and one needs a plug soldering. Various spares, screws etc. £180 Collection from Sunderland. Can potentially deliver within reasonable distance. Thanks for looking.
  10. I don't know how old they are as I purchased second hand. The seller stated that they've been used 5 times and always balanced and storage charged. If I don't get any takers for a swap then I'd be happy to sell for £60 for the pair.
  11. Greetings folks 😊. I intended to run these two packs together to run my Arrma Typhon on 6s... However I failed to check the dimensions and one pack alone practically fills the battery bay. 2x Turnigy Nano-Tech 8400mAh 11.1V 3S, 40-80c discharge w/ deans plugs I'm based in Sunderland and Ideally I'd like to swap these for a single 6s pack or two 3s packs of smaller dimensions so long as what you have is >5000mah >35C w/ EC5 or Deans plugs. A chance for someone to trade up in the mAh world on the back of my error. 😊 I'd possibly be interested in a swap for brushless combos for 1/10 or marine, tx/rx etc... Feel free to hit me up with any other RC swaps you may have... The least I can say is no. Thanks for looking and have a nice day.

    Melt Down

He'd have been much better off logging on for a session with an online counsellor as opposed to live streaming this to his audience... Alas hindsight is a wonderful thing. Who doesn't love a good meltdown video though ey?
  13. Good afternoon everyone. I'm new to the hobby and I seem to have already met my nemisis with rounded-out screws... I think the cheap Allen key & screwdriver sets that I'm using are contributing to the headache I'm having. I'd be very grateful if any veterans could point me in the way of a good quality set of tools for use with 1/10 and 1/8 scale cars. Thanks.
