  1. I ran this 4s by itself today instead of running it in parallel like I used to. It puffed up I assume because it couldn't handle the amp draw and now I'm pretty sure it's toast. Can I run other battery brands with the exact same specs in parallel with my other dynamic pack? Would be a shame for that pack to become obsolete.
  2. One of my lipos started puffed a bit after a crash, seems it creased slightly but straightened itself. Was very warm to the touch but is cooling down now.

Is it still safe to use? I really don't wanna buy another 4s lol.

Here is the scuffed up one next to a normal one.

@pieman5 the 3200 30c pack is the one I wanna run parallel because it can't supply enough. I already run the 4400 65c by itself and it's fine. I just had a bad landing with it and it puffed a bit.

@babylon i have seen a video of a chaps garage burnt down after a lipo went of and heard of another one that took out garage and part of the house

One of them videos has been doing the rounds since the beginning of time, You just won't find anything new out there. It's gonna happen to any type of battery at some time, Lipo's are no more or less dangerous as any other if not looked after, They all store energy.

  3. Damn can you not send it back and get a replacement? Seems a shame to spend so much money right away on what was meant to be a cheap basher.

    TT EB4 parts

Which eb4 do you have? The s2 and S3 are quite a bit different. There's lots on eBay for the s2 right now.
  5. With the goolrc systems it's difficult to tell if the issue lies with the electronics or not. Half the time these escs won't work properly. It does sound like a gearing issue though. I'd be careful running that system on 3s. The 60amp escs are known to melt under that much voltage.
  6. Not sure but it's the one with the dual shocks. The designs been around for about 15-20 years and it used to not handle brushless power well at all, seems maverick have tweaked it to handle it well now tho.
  7. Anybody have any idea what this part is called? I don't wanna replace the entire diff just for this. It's for my slash 4x4

      Oh How Original

Typically it would be called an output cup, because it's putting out power from the drivetrain to the wheels, that doesn't always transfer to every brand though.

Download the PDF manual dude, you'll never be stuck again :)

  8. They go under a bunch of names. But HSP is a big one.
  9. Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing what they become. Seems like they're doing what arrma should've been doing years ago.
  10. It's seen better days Painted it up for my slash truggy
  11. You can get good motors for cheap like them fake castle 1512s all over eBay. Skimping on escs though is risky. I got the arrma blx185 for Β£30 and it works quite well. Maybe try second hand?
  12. Kinda why I love my slash truggy. When I tell it to go forward It self destructs. Never does anything I want it to lmfao
  13. I'd say electric is probably more popular then nitro now. The most popular offroad class is 1/10 buggy racing, followed by 1/8 buggy I believe. I'm not saying it's hard to find 1/8 truggy racing because every track that does 1/8 buggy racing will also do truggies. But a lot of the time the grid will be smaller with the truggies.
  14. I think 1/8 truggy racing has lost a bit of popularity over the years in the UK a bit like 1/10 stadium trucks, although a lot less extreme. There aren't many race kits out there on the market right now.
  15. Yeah it should work fine, I'd only run it on 2s as some people have fried them on 3s. It's always a risk when buying the cheaper ones as the quality control is non existent, most times you'll get a good one sometimes you won't. But if you can afford to get a more expensive one then definitely do that. I only recommend those kind of escs when people are doing budget builds with a set price.
  16. Because it's out of stock and you can't trust estimations of when it will return.
  17. I've just bought a hobao truggy πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚

    Arrowmax RC Mask

Sorry to hear that brother, this whole thing sucks.
  19. Yeah if money were no object I think everyone would own a tekno. Its one of, if not the strongest truggy out of the box on the market. But after buying all the electronics and taking into account the depreciation of the Kraton if you were to sell it, I think you'd be better off sticking with the Kraton and getting all the upgrades from m2c, JBIRC ect. It'll be extremely strong at that point. Kevin Talbot did that to his k6 and beats the absolute doodoo out of it and the car survives for the most part. You know you have a strong truck when the bit that's most likely to break is the servo from all the hard landings it does.
  20. Nah that's the quicrun. That's more suited for racing applications. This is what you're looking for https://banggood.app.link/XZrf11e3t7
  21. I was actually very interested in that but I've already bought a second hand hyper sste from @shdaxner πŸ˜…
  22. I'm quite jealous can't lie. I'll be joining the truggy gang soon though πŸ‘
  23. I'll definitely get round to it. I need to find the bodge job I did that made me think of making the thread and make that the first post πŸ‘ To be honest my slash 4x4 is one big bodge job anyways πŸ˜‚. Has 12mm hexes at the front and 17mm at the rear.
