Yeah...my Senton does the same. LVC set too high from the factory & it's not adjustable ! Can't believe Arrma are still selling them when they know there's a problem! I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of a warranty claim so, l switched the ESC to nimh mode and ran it with a voltage alarm....shouldn't have to but there you go ! Strange how yours ran ok for two runs though ! Did you check the voltage of the lipo afterwards ?

Welcome. Lots you can learn from the forum...and if not...just ask,!

I too keep getting tempted to buy one of these. I think Matteo's videos on YouTube have almost persuaded me ! I'd go for the RTR version & probably just add some lights n stuff as I just want something to play with in the woods !๐

just bought proboat sonicwake, anything I need to do before running?

Hi, congrats on your purchase. Can't beat a bit of high speed boating on a good day! I agree with you about the price of the dynamite grease gun ....So, I use a syringe (cadged from the doctors) filled with vaseline to lube the prop shaft !!! Also use a bit on the bearings to keep water out. To make it a little easier I melt the vaseline down a bit first. Another thing that you can do to keep water out is use hatch tape. Have fun ๐ -
I'm glad of this as I'm not too far away. But, it's not like you can go into Modelsport and browse. There are showcases and a counter, you tell em what you want and they go get it out the back. ! Glass screen and compulsory face mask...job sorted ! ๐

As JK says, with the cost of new parts it's sometimes cheaper/easier to buy a new engine. I replaced my hpi Trophy Truggy 4.6 engine with a Hong Nor item, its basically the same engine at a lower price ! In any case....I'd run it until it goes.

If these were available in the UK, I bet they would be about ยฃ50...and the badge would be a sticker......that you would have to cut out and apply yourself !! ๐คฃ

Just the sort of day to be by the water ! So...headed off to my secret location. Enjoyed a very nice hour or so with a tea & biscuit break in between runs. ๐

Thank you for your reply. I've watched a few vids on YT & I saw the one today using graffiti remover. I'm asking because I want to replicate my own car....Suzuki swift sport...in burning red ! Tamiya decided to paint them all yellow ! (marketing ploy ?) Looking at it now, I think the best option is to buy the M 05 in another cheaper model (MX 5 maybe) & wait in hope Tamiya bring out the SSS body in a clear option.

Hi all. Quick question.....has anyone any experience of using the Carson paint remover ?

Beautiful evening so, had a quick blast with the old RC18. Fitted with an M troniks 8000kv motor on 2s lipo...it's still quick ! ๐

Welcome my friend. I have family in Norway, beautiful country .

Not done bad for thirty years then ! In Tamiya kits I usually use Alturn servos, cheap enough and do the job. Like most things at the moment though, they seem to be out of stock.

I had/have (in bits) a Strada mt....converted it to brushless with a goolrc unit, it was ok but, a weak point was/is the bumper mounting on the chassis......the chassis itself breaks! The Quantum look like a bargain though ๐

Anyone else spent ages looking for a screw/nut.....only to find it stuck to the motor!!! ๐ซ

Should be more than that range really, I still run a couple of my old cars on old radios....your batteries new ? Aerial screwed in tight?
