  1. Hi all, Anyone upgraded thier shocks on thier Outcast/Kraton 4s? I'm looking to replace the standard shocks as I'm sick of rebuilding them all the time....I've seen someone say they have fitted 6S shocks, are these a straight swap or or are there any modifications needed to make them fit? Also are there any decent aftermarket sets you can get, seen some from China on eBay but can't find any info if they are decent or not. Also Hot Racing seem to have stopped producing the shock bodies for the 4s. Anyways any solutions would be welcome, the cheaper the better! Thanks, Andy.

    Outcast 4s?

Out of curiosity do they go straight on or are there any mods needed, I need to do the same to get rid if the standard shocks.
  3. Hi all, just realised I have a fully charged 4s battery and my only car is out of action. Currently waiting on parts but they won’t be here for a while. just wondering what my options are with regards to discharging the battery safely? My charger does have a discharge option but I’ve been advised against that. Thanks, Andy.
  4. Managed to get it out, just need to replace the screw now though, just hope the knuckle isn’t too damaged. All part of the hobby though! Just need the diff case and the input gear, no one seems to have stock until mid August though.
  5. Yeah, the other side came off fine with a 2mm allen key
  6. Hi, I needed to strip the rear diff on my Outcast but one of the small 2mm allen bolts that hold the driveshaft to the diff has rounded off. Wondered if anyone might have any idea on how to get it off as you have to put a small 2mm allen key down the middle of the driveshaft to get to it. Any ideas or solutions and I would be eternally grateful! Also, from the exploded view it only shows the front diff and the parts, I presume the from and rear diff internals are the same? Thanks, Andy.

    Melt Down

I watched it, and thought why the F is someone so upset about not getting anymore free cars, if anything he should think himself lucky he didn't land himself with a lawsuit. And like someone else rightly pointed out he's not employed by Arrma or HH, they were just using him as for cheap advertising. I was honestly thinking about setting up a YouTube channel to share my RC journey since returning to the hobby.......but I don't think I'll bother now. But online buse from the keyboard warriors is par for the course now-a-days. You just need to learn how to deal with it and not bite.
  8. Was just browsing some of the major RC store sites and noticed none of the Outcasts are listed anymore. Do you think they are now discontinued?
  9. Drighlington, Leeds/Bradford Looking for good spots near me to take the Outcast. Also to happy to meet up with others for a socially distanced bash!
  10. Fitted the adjustable motor mount and centre driveshaft bearing support thing, the wing went on a couple of days ago, smashed the other to bits practising my jumps!
  11. Past: Nikko Hurricane (I think) Traxxas Revo 3.3 Brushed Traxxas Slash Current: WLToys A979 (Trashed, hit it with the Outcast at full pelt) Arrma Outcast 4S FTX Outback 2.0 Currently looking to add more....
  12. Jus reviving this thread, Seems to me from the new guidlines we should be OK to get out an about now so long as social distancing is observed. I've seen folk out doing all sorts of stuff so once my new motor mount, bearings and other bit's and bobs are fitted I'll be all over it!
  13. Hi all, I could have sworn I had seen a post on here about bearing sets for the Arrma outcast 4s, I think it was a link to a company website that supplies them but I can't for the life in me find the post/link anymore. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful. Thanks, Andy.
  14. I had a few niggles and complaints with my outcast 4S when I first got it: Broke a front arm on my first outing and another two since Broke 2 rear shock shafts All 4 shocks were leaking on arrival I did initially take it up with Horizon who directed me to Logic RC, I dealt with Steward and he couldn't have been more helpful, he sent me 2 rear shock shafts, an updraged full set of arms (F&R) and some spare shock cartridges to see if it helps with the leaky shocks. All sorted out under warranty. Whilst I was initially dissapointed I've popped some RPM arms on and all has been fine since. Just want to get out and about now so hopefully Boris's announcment on Sunday means we can get out with them. I was gonna get myself an X-maxx and a Senton but thats on the backburner for the time being. I'll definitley keep my Outcast though as the young un is showing more an more of an interest in the hobby.
  15. Nothing really expensive......a 63 plate Fiesta ST. Totally unmolested and standard. Was a little naive when I bought it, I should have checked the stats......Fiestas were the most stolen car of 2019.
  16. Yeah, the insurance will pay out but I dont think you ever get what you paid out initially.
  17. Disclaimer added to original post for anyone that needs one.....
  18. It wasn't towed, they have a 2 hour stay policy and thats it. All you would get is a parking charge. None of the guys who were working outside the store knew anything so I can't imaging it being that. It was done on the 29th as well so I'm sure I'd have heard something from a towing company by now.
  19. Hang on......I'm being offended by people being offended? I give up! 🤣
  20. Why do people choose to be so easily offended nowadays...........Its pretty easy to tell from the post I'm referring to the chump stains that stole my car...........and anyone else who chooses to go down that path.
  21. People need to keep thier urges to steal to themselves......but they don't
  22. In the current climate its great to see how people are coming together to help each other out and the comminity spirit and resiliance people are showing in the face of this pandemic shows all is not lost on humanity. But unfortunatley there are still the *lowlife benefit scrounging bottom feeders that that think society owes them something and they can just go around doing whatever they please knowing they will probably get away with it.......absolute scum. I've really been sticking to this social distancing and stay at home stuff, only going out for essentials and exercise. I've been furloughed from work now for the last month and a bit so have had the time to sort out a few things around the house. One of them that needed immediate attention, so I checked online and my local B&Q was open with restrictions in place so no different to grocery shopping really, in, out job done. Or so I thought, I was only in there 20 mins which included queing to get in then to get to the tills, came out and my car had gone. Not even a trace of glass or debris....like it had been beamed up. I've worked since I was 16 with no gaps, now I'm 40 and finally got myself into a position to buy what I feel was a nice car......something I could use for commuting but also to have a little fun with, I only got it in November last year. They only have CCTV of me driving past the front of the store, nothing of where I parked or the exit.....aparantly the camera that looks at the exit has been repositioned to look at the queue into the store. I had a little put away to fund my next RC purchase(s) but I'm now going to have to use that to make up the inevitable shortfall from the insurance payout......95% of my commute is on a smart motorway so I need something reliable. Anyways, rant over just needed to vent! *Disclaimer: I am by no means referring to all people who rightly recieve benefits for whatever reason, just the workshy lazy fudgers that can't be arsed to get a job.
  23. I really really really want one of these but can't stretch to it at the moment, and it would be perfect for the current lockdown. I'd have great fun in the back garden, I'd just empty the garage and get a course built.....
