  1. regarding lipo`s....Floureon are pretty good, i use them in my cars and in some of my planes, if i was getting another rig i would look at coyote
  2. My experience with FTX has been less than enjoyable, and dont see me buying another ftx branded car/truck hobby grade or toy grade
  3. Not had much time to play with the rock crawler, hoping to get out a bit over xmas shutdown, but if this yellow peril breaks one more time its up for sale
  4. postie brought me my Matek F405 wing board, this will be going in my next rc flying wing with inav full GPS.............if i can work out how to set it up
  5. I have looked at a few video`s of original jumpshot mt and looks a pretty good truck, but reading this sounds like it has a few issues
  6. postie brought my fourth eagletree guardian, rather pleased as i thought i was going to have to open a paypal case on Hobbyking, this will be going in my Volantex Ranger 1600 pusher and make the video more stable
  7. does look a really nice model, would like to do one of these but my head and bank account is very busy trying to sort gps for a flying wing
  8. hello and welcome, your rig is a bit like my Ford F-150 Mauler, sort of scale but not quite, nice looking rig though
  9. Now added a spot light bar to the mauler pickup, helps break up the yellow paint a bit more, starting to look right now, only thing is i had to cut the futaba plug of and just wire it +_ in to a battery box and now it just does a random pattern of flashing led
  10. Khan is a very exclusive firm that do vehicle makeovers for the rich, i delivered a horsebox there a few years back that was going to Katy price, when i was there they had 2 yes 2 Buggati Veyrons in showroom
  11. Not going to bother getting any other cars
  12. A friend got a Kanyon and quite likes it, got about 25 mins on standard battery but now has a 5200 2s lipo in it, it is very slow compared to my FTX Mauler pick up, but it is a nice crawler for the sensible price, BTW if you dont mind the buggy style, then a mauler is a pretty good crawler
  13. I have an FTX Mauler with a Ford F-150 shell, TBH its looking like i will just keep this, but cant help looking to see if there is a model that will better serve, and so far it seems pretty tough, survived a 25ft roll side over side other day from a ledge
  14. welcome to the forum, should get the help you need
  15. Yes thinking about it the CC-01 would get stuck a lot so maybe not best choice, still no rush
  16. only asking as a i rather like the look, is the Tamiya freedlander any good
  17. Tug, you are right on both counts, the summit is a very good rc, but it does come at a high price tag, and it seems there is at least 3 versions
  18. Yes defo brushed, i do still really like the look of the new Taniya Dynahead due out, but its sort of new tech with the reduction hubs, and its a lot of money to find out if its good or bad, yes its sort of based on konhead, and that thing is a handful on full throttle. I do like the buggy style like bomber or wraith but for what i want as a one only rig i think scale like a truck is best, and yes a nice bit of wheel speed is going to be good BTW nothing defender style, really dont like defenders
  19. this is just what i want warts an all if i mention a model
  20. Im just watching a youtube of a gmade komodo and that looks very interesting, thing is i really only want one car
  21. So mods please move if you think it should be in a different section. What would be the best type of rc car for mainly trail running, woodland tracks and places like that, plus a bit of light crawling. Not after what make but what style, monster....rally ,fast crawler, what would you guys go for
  22. Broke the body shell on the yellow pickup, was crawling up near Malham cove/tarn and it rolled of a bank about 25ft downside roll bump bump bump bump and so on, the front posts have ripped through the body, need to put some reinforcement under the shell
  23. Big modification just done....oil filled shocks fitted to replace the friction shocks fitted standard, hope it was worth the major stripdown, had to take the shell of to do front twin hammer shocks
