  1. To each their own... but to me it looks like someone bodged a buggy shell on a truggy. Hideous, absolutely hideous.

    SOLD

Brushless, 4500kv 35a esc, has seen maybe half a dozen packs through it. Runs 2S, and dual trays means you can have two lipos in parallel for long run times. Proper fitting MG servo inc. Built by mini me, though the shell came from another one - the paint is flaking off but it's pretty solid otherwise. Cosmetically it shows signs of use of course, but all works as it should. Spares and upgrades are still available, I also have another used one I'll probably be selling and a new part built one too (mini me #2 gave up on it). For a Hobbyking brand these are great quality and very robust. Technically 1/16 sized but similar proportions to LC's 1/14's etc. I do have a running video but can't upload here. No radio gear or lipo's included. collect or local meet up DE5 or post at cost. Would like £60 net.
  3. So, thinning down the fleet - and have no spare radio gear (I use spekky / futaba). Anyone have 2/3/4 sets of basic cheap Tx/Rx then want to exchange for beer tokens? thanks
  4. Quiet happy with my set up but you never know. There's a few of us knocking about,,,
  5. Still languishing in it's box to be completely honest. Run John's old one from time to time but mostly a bog stock brushed one with a basic 2s system in as a beater...
  6. Was there any damage before it was added Rich? Or more pre-emptive. On my main rig I've not had issues there at all, but run plastic brackets - they must flex, and have broken in the distant past - possibly protecting the axle.
  7. 2000kv 4076 18t should be ok on 4S, though it depends on terrain and wheel choice.
  8. Love my outlaw, only 10th scale rig I currently run, or indeed the only one i've kept using in the last few years. Widening the track helps no end, and lowering expectations helps. Main rig is still the one John built... though I've had multiple others to run alongside / try things out.
  9. Thanks for sharing your experiences - I too had an older one, and much regret selling it a mate for a song. She was an absolute weapon on astro and kept up with the tekno's with no issues. Have long fancied another but the dumbing down of the platform into the Tenacity's has put me off - the Pro seemed to be the way out.
  10. Keep the plastic c-hubs and run alloy ST -Pro knuckles. Hubs are a weak point which will break in a big crash before the expensive knuckles (but in day to day stuff are very durable). As for ST-Pro parts to upgrade the RTR - like many covid has impacted this but stock issues with hobao have been a feature of the last few years since they put effort into cracking America again (imo). Ebay breakers are starting to kit kits through again though, in dribs and drabs.
  11. Not a massive difference between the SSe and VSe - the SS series flaws we're most apparent in the SST truggy and cage. Having owned and ran both pretty extensively I'd be pushed to tell the difference day to day, VS Pro at one time was a Graupner special, as in they specced it from Hobao, and the price was extremely appealing. Since Graupners demise it's been picked up elsewhere but iirc the spec may have been slightly watered down, and the price is no longer quite as good. Stock VS chassis, with alu braces takes plenty of abuse, so the major cost in the Pro model is somewhat mitigated.
  12. Hi, welcome. The E10's are now rebranded by Maverick as the Phantom - they may / may not have specced better plastics (e10's we're brittle) / electrics. Regardless have you recalibrated the esc's? Ensure any trim on the transmitter is 0 first. They used to use hobbywing clone esc's, so recalibrating is easy.
  13. I'm with Guns - it's done to keep a listing open for an OOS item. Yes you can click buy and pay near enough 10k but lets be honest - no one will and if you we're daft enough to i'm sure the seller can hop on a plane anywhere pick one up in person, hand deliver it to you and still turn a tidy profit.
  14. £80 for the 2nd one Bix? It'll get a good home and I'm intrigued at the twin braces - we usually fit the alloy aliexpress special but of course it reduces the bit of flex in the chassis that actually useful.
  15. Options there - I have 101 projects wither on the go or awaiting starting.
  16. Probably. Pre covid we'd run all over, such as elvaston castle was always good when it wasn't busy (mid week / not high summer) as has a nice range of terrains. I only run electric now so don't get complaints due to noise but of course need to be very careful when there's people about.
  17. I could steal possibly steal one off a spare roller (that's awaiting a conversion) if your desperate - I have spare fronts surplus but not rear atm so I'd have to replace it (in no rush though).
  18. I'm guess we'll see a retail of about £300, perhaps a shy less once novelty of a new rig wears off.
  19. Welcome - which side of Derby are you and what to you run (or want to?). I'm just down the 38 towards the M1 myself.
  20. Mini8's we're notorious for it, even in stock form. I've run longer can 28mm motors in emb's without issue, and much higher KV than stock but generally return time and again to the 4500kv leopard stock motor, and run 2s 99% of the time. I'm still on the fence about the clone - until I have one in front of me that is, but I do read posts for owners decrying it's quality, seemingly at odds with the many proponents..... I guess if you part with your owned hard earned you have different expectations
  21. Odd, I've not come across emb users complaining of diff eating issues, nor in many many hours of running, across multiple emb's ever had any myself.
  22. That I can't help with unfortunately. Brushed motors, whilst still having a major 'life' are fading out of the RC community, the last real hold out being crawlers and RTR budget lead in's, like yours. I would say, that so long as you didn't go crazy then a brushless upgrade could probably be done without needing all the associated upgrades - the arrma commonity will have already tried i'm sure. I'm thinking along the lines of a higher speed motor, of smaller size (ie a 540) as it will mitigate the torque increase a brushless motor brings. Budget 540 set ups can be had for around £30 on eBay - fit, go steady on the throttle, and see what happens.
  23. This is the titan https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=27458&gclid=Cj0KCQiA3Y-ABhCnARIsAKYDH7uqY3eKM9Um050xfwgjbMBedTha0pXyKjUEevSwtEcNe0iGMbtwEB4aAmDHEALw_wcB States upto 8,4v, ie 2S lipo. That said 12T, even in a bigger 550 motor sounds too low to me for a 1/10 4WD, even a plastic fantastic arrma, however that's what Horizon ship them with so it must be ok.. If you want to try a cheaper alternative with higher number of turns, this FTX one is a 15t, so should produce more torque, and although not stated I and I believe many have used 2s lipos in them. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/ftx-vantage-carnage-outlaw-550-brushed-motor/rc-car-products/369466
