      Redback

Not bad,  they are just a crawler with a cage, so a bit top heavy but also something different. Few of us have them, heres an owners thread.

      Oh How Original

They're pretty good, they aren't as top heavy as they actually look, that said I have broke mine a few times and the senior engineer for Associated told me they know of a brittle issue with the plastics, well the 'hard' plastics anyway.

That shows even more in the new Sendero HD release, they've made the plastic somewhere in between normal and hard according to John Schultz.

I would recommend them, but don't bash it lol.

  4. Got one of these sitting on the fridge gathering dust, I bought a truggy conversion kit from dis last year too, I must dig it out & then decide on electrics.
  5. anyone had any luck sourcing these? still want one!
  6. Is it worth upgrading the 6kg servo on the granite?

    https://www.modelsport.co.uk/power-hd-lf13-metal-geared-servo/rc-car-products/388579
always liked these power hd servos, would that be a noticeable improvement?

      RCbutcher

I say absolutely its always a worthy upgrade. PowerHD are great too i think they are equal to the old savox 1256tg benchmark servo. 20kg with 0.17s ish, perfect servo.

Keep the standard servo though if you ever sell refit that and use the powerHD on the next rc. Thats what I'm doing now with all add ons that can carry over will carry over.

upgrading the servo on my granite was the best thing i ever did used as savox one!

@froggy8 its mental! think of a not so crappy savage XS that's really good, I've gone straight to 3s & used two 5000mah packs-lasted ages, it wheelies for miles but I haven't got the ramp out yet to test the jumps, but so far its been great fun, id does get a bit hot on 3s I noticed- so I will take the temp gun next time to check, overall I don't think there is any 1/10 4wd to touch it & I did a LOT of research (as you all know!!)

cheers mate, realised lastnight that its a 10th scale but i like 10th scale, reminds me of the hyper 10tt.  dare you take your new granite to the wall of death :D

Built like a tank this feels like!!

now to decide. Ditch the stx2 straight off or give it a chance & make up my own mind?

selling it will recoup a few £

Clean up my DX4C or buy a FS GT5 is another option..

  10. Rode to ducati in Alton to get a new fuel sensor. guess what? yep, ran out of fuel, about 5 miles away. top service from the guys at snells Ducati- they came out to me with some fuel within 10 mins! brilliant service from them.
  11. enduro mode jacks up the electronic online suspension & tames the throttle with a 100bhp map, ill be honest im not in a situation where I can bin it & not worry! so im yet to try that out!!
  12. I've had everything from an FS1E to a gsxr1000k5 & this has 4 modes, enduro (WTF?) urban 100bhp, touring 150bhp & sport 150bhp- I'm still in urban mode & thats plenty for now! haha. you'd be welcome to have a blast on it, they change everything IMO (adventure bikes).
  13. Should I buy an Arrma Granite?

    Y/N?

@mydoddy69 this is the issue, its a lot of wedge for something that should be a £250 plastic fantastic rtr, but hey ho, it has great reviews- beside the tx rx

@mydoddy69 if the TT mt4 g3 was still available id have one like a shot, I love the thunder tiger brand, still have an old ST-1 in my shed, great trucks.

    4. bertberr

      bertberr

Unfortunately Thunder Tiger these days is just that - just another 'brand'  Not a lot of innovation any more.  My little 12th scale Hilux crawler had a load of issues out the box, not so much QC more poor design.  Oh well, most have been addressed now, but makes me a little sad when I look at it and think of an MT4...

  14. I was about to say @Oh How Original better geta tail tidy asap & you beat me too it, cracking looking bike & the triple howl is hard to beat... only beaten by the Twin of a Ducati!!😆
  15. I had a roulette green triumph 675 street, lovely bike so good to ride! sold it to buy a kitchen....
  16. I had one, (goolrc combo) they are Ok, fast enough on 3s & reliable, mine cogged (Stuttered) badly but flat out it was fine. for the money you can't go wrong imo.
  17. my old Dx3c & dx4c have seen better days, any recommendations on a replacement?

always with in a few days for me, and some times sooner, ordered a triton before and i got an email from dpd saying monday, it came on the saturday  :P

  19. Thanks for the opinion, the Granite is in stock at MS the MT10 is nowhere in the UK for £250 & I wouldn’t pay more for it, knowing how impatient I am it’ll probably be the Granite for me! on a side note, what’s MS current dispatch times? Anyone know?
  20. Dan, now you sort of have both which one is a keeper? (I know it’s a senton, but it’s still an Armma!)
