I sometimes go months without using an RC, but always really enjoy myself when I do finally get another chance to have a play.  Main reason why I never sell anything during a hiatus.

Depends if you really need / want to sell it or not.  Everything has a value, just seems most RC stuff right now, well at least in UK, has a pretty low value!  As long as you're realistic with price, i.e. not as per a lot of ebay/FB ads where they're more than a new one...🤔, then why not just throw up a quick piccie and brief description?

Yeah I'm in no rush, got plenty of other toys to keep me entertained. Prob a blessing in disguise...

Still love RC as much as I always did, just don't have the time these days to enjoy it as much as I used to.  Nowhere really local to use the bigger cars (1/10 +) so have been using the Mini's more (1/18 & 1/16) and also the helis.

I enjoy checking in on here from time to time, good to see a few of the old timers still lurking (can't believe I'll have been on here for 15 years next March...!!!).

@Gaz! Don't think people are anti Traxxas per se, the models themselves I think are generally very good, I'm not even that upset by their pricing, though they are disproportionately expensive here in the UK.  I have two myself, a Maxx and a Slash 2WD, both bought used.  It's more their business practices I think are distasteful, and I don't think I'm alone there, and the reason I wouldn't ever buy a new one.  Sure it doesn't bother some people, and that's fine too, each to their own.

I agree about pricing on spares / upgrades for Arrma, well Grom/Gorgon for sure, crazy money for entry level rigs.

However, I have had good experience with my little HBX 16890, think I bought it around 4-5 years ago not long after they came out (BL version from BG or Ali, can't remember which, around 70 quid to my door), and I can still get parts easily online, though I've rarely broken anything, thing is a tank.  The only rig in my fleet that I'll happily take down to the local skatepark.

@Lone-wolf yes but remember 329 Canadian is way less than 329 USD.  I'd be surprised if it will be 329 CAD as that's only around 250 USD.  I'd see it at around 300 USD and therefore, in usual Traxxas rip off UK prices, around 300 GBP.

And I've also heard its bigger than the usual 1/16 rigs like MJX, HBX, Arrma etc, possibly 1/14 or even slightly bigger.  Time will tell I guess, good to have another player in the mini / skatepark bash sector, just a shame its Traxxas.

Is it just that company or is that typical nowadays when applying for a job? 

Sorry to hear that chap, I feel for you.  Very similar thing happened to us, opened the door one morning to the porch where Frank had his bed, and after a minute or so wondered why he hadn't walked in yet, mewing for his breakfast.  Went out there only to find him dead in his bed, still curled up and still warm.  Absolutely tore us apart.  We were all lost for ages, until we all agreed that it was time to get another cat in the house.  Ended up with two 11 yr old rescue cats.  Not the same without a cat around.  Hope you get over the initial shock/sadness as quickly as possible and get yourselves another furry friend asap.

If I sold every model - cars & helis that I didn't use in a while I'd have nothing left...  sometimes I go 12-18 mths without using a particular model, still like them just have enough time to use all of them on a regular basis.  If I'd sold then re-bought, it would have cost me a fortune.

New (Jadlam) with the latest Raid wheels, one pair - £35.95 inc. P&P...  Hmmm which to go for?

Sorry to hear that, I doubt things could be much worse for you - your kids health is so important.  Hope things improve for you and the little lad, even if only a little. 😔

Not quite sure what to think about that...  Looks good, well the body does, not sure about the relationship to the chassis...seems to sit very low, with the body quite high.  Not sure how that would equate to a basher rig.  And quite a lot of plastic in areas I'd expect to see metal (at almost 500 quid) i.e. shocks, hubs, hexes...  And that's a very long (not 7075?) chassis, hope the central brace is up to it.

Be interesting to hear your thoughts on it.

I'd rather be cleaning the fluff out of the shower trap 😆, luckily I can go a fair bit better than that...  a night of RC fettling, which I haven't had the opportunity to do for a long time.

Shipping on lighter kits like Tamiyas is usually around 17-20 GBP, taxes would just be approx +20% of invoice total (inc. shipping).
