I'll probably swap/sell the radio for a smaller radio set for the wee man.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a smaller handset?

The Outback comes with a combined ESC/RX so if you want to change the radio you'll need an ESC as well. Quicrun 1060 will do nicely.

Perhaps this radio. Very small child sized although it's a stick.

Hi guys, just a quick message to let you know I received the rig today.

After discussing it with my wife, we've decided to hold off giving it to my son until Christmas. He'll be 2 1/2 by then.

He's already been spoiled for his birthday yesterday. I'll post a pic of the happy wee man when he gets it for Christmas.

Thanks again, it's very much appreciated.

You will of course have to give it a test drive.......or two, or three. Just to make sure it works properly.  You wouldn't want him to be disappointed would you?  :D

    Easily done!

My 4 y o lad has a smaller scale MT waiting for him - reckon he can have it for his 5th in 4 months' time.

    Been there a year already!!

I've a load of Scalextric I'd bought as the 'moving in, enjoying a hobby with the lads' sort of thing which never happened, and nobody's buying.

Reckon it'll still happen one day!!

    Al.
