Neither did I, and I've not long rebuilt one

A legend returns – the Terra Scorcher has been a trusty off-road assembly kit for R/C enthusiasts since 1988! It makes a welcome comeback in the shape of this limited edition kit, which features a modern chassis and some updates to the livery marking scheme.

• 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit.
• Polycarbonate body is paired with the 4WD chassis that was previously employed on the re- issued Fire Dragon (Item 58403), with further upgrades.
• Updated marking stickers keep the flavor of the 1988 original.
• Shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain provides efficient and reliable drive via universal joints and 3-bevel gear differentials in the front and rear sealed gearboxes, and enhanced by Full Ball Bearings.
• The streamlined double wishbone suspension employs upper I-arms and lower H-arms with CVA oil dampers. Upper arms are adjustable.
• Stabilizers front and rear ensure nimble handling and precision.
• Includes: Tamiya TBLE-02S ESC (electronic speed control) Capable of running sensor brushless motors and brushed motors alike. (21.5 Turn BL motor limit) (23 Turn brushed motor limit)

The 1997 911 GT1 race car is a classic R/C model in the Tamiya catalog of assembly kits. Originally released as the Le Mans race car replica, this kit recreates the “street legal” car that was released for homologation purposes. This replica returns on the TA03R-S chassis, which is a short wheelbase variant of Tamiya's highly successful and fun TA-03 4WD touring car. The actual car debuted in 1996, and was a “street” car with an extremely strong racing heritage – powered by a 3.1-liter inline-six rear-mid engine generating nearly 600hp, it was said to reach speeds of up to 330km/h. The racecar took second and third in Le Mans in 1996, and went one better with a 1-2 finish in 1998.

• 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit. Length: 444mm, width: 194mm, height: 120mm. Wheelbase: 237mm.
• Lightweight and durable polycarbonate.
• Separately molded plastic parts are included to recreate side mirrors and rear wing. Includes detail marking stickers, and window masking stickers for use during the painting process.
• The TA03R-S is a special version of the TA03 with the motor in a rear midship position like the engine on the actual car, and a short wheelbase. Different front and rear wheel offsets give the model that quintessentially Porsche wide rear tread.
• Single belt-driven 4WD makes for smooth, efficient power via differential gears in sealed gearboxes.
• Features oil dampers front and rear, with front CVA Super Mini dampers enabling a low stance.
• Includes 540-motor.

Comical Avante available 3rd April. 

 

• This is a 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit.
• Includes a lightweight and durable stylized polycarbonate versions of the Avante body and wing, developed specially for this model. The body is pre-painted in PS-16 to save the hassle of a paint job.
• Parts are included to create a driver figure, as well as stickers to decorate the body, with some dedicated driver figure stickers.
• Stylish bumper and muffler parts are included, with two types of headlight/foglamp included for installation.
• Separately sold LEDs can also be used to light up the model front and rear.
• New ST block bubble tires have stepped block patterns (width/diameter: front 45/99mm, rear 55/99mm).
• The chassis is a special variant of the GF-01 with slightly tweaked frame components to allow attachment of dedicated parts. It offers efficient gear-driven 4-wheel drive.
• ABS two-part wheels are molded in yellow (rims) and dark gray (spokes).
• CVA oil dampers ensure your ride has superior cushioning.
• A rear wheelie bar lets you perform thrilling wheelies by slamming on the throttle.
• Please note that the bubble front tires from previous comical buggy releases are not compatible.

Capri Zakspeed available 4th May.

 

The Ford Zakspeed Turbo Capri Gr.5 Würth joins the ever growing selction of iconic sports and race cars offered on the easy to assemble TT-02 chassis.

The car was the result of the tie-up between the legendary Zakspeed racing team and Ford. It achieved excellent results throughout its racing career, the highlight being in the 1981 season in which it blew away its rivals.

Tamiya has faithfully reproduced this sleek racing machine in 1/10 scale on the TT-02 entry level touring car chassis.
The TT-02 chassis platform is the successor to the TT-01 as it incorporates many new features to make it even easier for the new R/C kit builder to assemble and learn from.
The TT-02 chassis performs well as cornering and overall speed has been enhanced to take advantage of new electronics available on the market. In addition to the TT-02 being an ideal platform to start from, R/C hobbyists can expand its potential by adding many of the Ho-Up-Options available to increase the cars speed and performance.
