    Hmmmmm. This type of all in one setup is fine until it goes faulty and then you don't have an ESC or motor.

    True, but if they can do this they can surely make ESCs in general smaller, some of the brushed racing ESCs were the size of a coin!

    A great idea for applications which don't generate much heat like crawling or drifting, they don't require huge FETs so make installs much much neater and saves weight. Double win.

    Unless u want your weight somewhere else on the rig I guess. Not a fan of this kind of thing, but then I like to mix and match my esc's and motors. I can see some of the scale crawling dudes going for this, particularly for those rigs with front mounted motors and full interiors.
