  2. i wonder if i can get a little old venom gpv-1 to a ton up. well got a bike, a wrecker off a website for around 65 quids i hope. no steering servo, no radio or rx, running a 10.5t novac brushless on 2s. first off will be the usual stock mods, full bearing kit, possible ceramic set if its cheap. beef up servo steering add a tankslapper damper. front vent mod the bodywork replace the brushless and esc to something upto the job. add more voltage by means of 3s maybe a small 4s. supersoft racespec nats tyres , and a paint job.

  3. I've always fancied one of these Xray XB4-2wd's, so when MB Models put them on special offer, that was enough to convince me to sell my Schumacher KF and get one. First impressions are very good, the kit is just oozing of quality and looking forward to cracking on with the build. I should hopefully have time to make a start to the build tomorrow. I'll be building it total stock with the exception of 12mm wheels hexes so I can run my Schumacher wheels/tyres as I kept them when I sold my KF. Just a photo of the box for now:

  6. I'd lower the spur to a 49t then it will give you more options with the clutchbell but running a three speed box and big joes don't mix well from what others have said you'll struggle to get third gear you need to be using the xl standard gear ratio

  10. Nail varnish, interesting approach. Seems to have worked well. Personally, I'd ditch the gray back part, spoils the overall look of the beaten up shell.

  16. The screw opposite the LSN is the MSN. medium speed needle. Keep it in flush. It adjusts the little tube that the LSN goes into. Take your AF off, and look into the carb while moving the throttle slider.

  18. thing with the buggys,is what suit your driving stlye, not the car,the sworks,mp9,losi 3,mugen all brillant race cars, but need the knowlegde to set them up for different tracks.so since money no object pick one of the big names, race it and then decide what lacking in your car, there no buggy that the best or the fastest, just the drivers and set up that make a difference, best advice is go to a race meeting talk to drivers your be racing against.get your 1st buggy and engine, then decide 6 months down the line, what you really need

  33. Isn't the issue more the fact they seem to operate on a shadow stock basis? No business wants to tie up lots of capital in stock, however, in the case of a store which exists purely to serve hobbyists who regularly break their kit, not keeping actual stock in just feels pointless. There will always be specialist items that cost a lot/sell irregularly, but parts for commonly bought/used models should, IMO, be readily available. Or, if they cannot afford to run the business properly, sell up and move on.
