  6. Don't bother with them, waste of cash tbh. The gains in power/torque are so little you won't notice them. If you want more power your best bet is to change the engine.

  8. Magic, I am going to be attempting my first body paint soon so a perfect find. It is not going to be anything as fancy as this but a good foundation is worth laying. I ordered liquid mask yesterday, 10 quid for a little bottle, and today realised I have a gallon of latex sitting in the hall grrrr.. I am just masking up the inside of a juice bottle to see if it works and first coat looks very promising

  10. On my first ever nitro rc car (HPI Bullet ST 3.0) and using Optifuel RTR 20% and it is smokey. I think once i've got through this bottle of fuel, i'll change to the 'Race' version instead.

  11. +1 on the losi not being suitable for indoors...unless you living room is the size of a small village hall with no furniture.

  12. The pulley (bit with cord wrapped around) is binding for some reason. If it works fine when off engine then it must be getting clamped between the backplate and pullstart casing when you fit it....as a test you could put a washer between the backplate and casing on each screw....if that fixes the issue then make a gasket/shim to fit between backpl/casing..

  13. Took a break from the screen and drove the ally-Maxx around the park. She's a top truck these days, it feels good to iron out the niggles. I actually clipped a steel post at speed, lost steering and figured I'd done some serious damage! A blip of reverse, a blip of forward and that freed up the servo-saver and she was off again like it had never happened! Happy days!

  25. Not wrong there Deafty! Can tell their R&D department looked at the Serpent for inspiration! Still not a patch on it though.. This looks a nice bit of kit but the video is utterly pointless to go by. I want to see a video of the "Basher" actually being.. bashed. Not just calmly driven around on a flat dusty surface where there is zero chance of breakages! Jump it.. Flip it.. Crash it.. Do something with it to prove it can actually be bashed for god's sake. I mean come on, who just drives a truggy like that? Snooze fest! For the price though, I'd be interested if I didn't have the Hong Nor.

  26. Here you go Deafty this should keep you happy in your shock quest FRONTS REAR Hope that helps you out and clears it up once and for all

  32. Ok, so after discovering a track just round the corner, i've decided to blow my budget out the window and i'm going to go for the Losi 8ight T 3.0 If i decide that racing aint for me, at least i know that it can soak up plenty of abuse as a basher

  33. We tried Ogmore at the weekend, good fun till I popped a universal joint.........on my Rustler. Next day wasn't much fun cleaning sand out of motors, gearboxes, etc. If anyone's interested I've posted details of a few places I've found/thought of in another conversation http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/80335-bashing-sitestracks-in-swales/page-2 I think I've taken this conversation off topic too much, sorry RevoMikey.

  35. I picked up a waterproof turnigy one from the bay for about 15quid that was way more KG than the standard one, works a treat and steers a lot more direct. I'm running a large thick washer instead of the e-clip in the servo saver too so I have the right spring compression against the top plate but it's impossible for a washer to decide to leave like my e-clips always did

  39. yeah, one way bearing, pretty common, easy to fix. edit: Here are some from the bay, check sizes though as i have never owned a Hyper 7 before http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HF0810-One-Way-Bearing-12mm-x-8mm-x-10mm-Needle-Rollers-NEW-/140956498305?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item20d1a97981 This needs a vice or simalar to press out the old one and press in the new one but not everyone is equiped or comfortable doing this so heres a ready made one - straight swap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Pull-Start-One-Way-Bearing-12mm-Hex-6-mm-Shaft-12-x-6-Pullstart-Free-POST-/141216686871?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item20e12ba317

  40. do you ever bash dwarfy as your cars always look immaculate or do you strip them everytime you bash. I bet you fold your clothes up and night and leave they nice and neat aswell for the morning Love your motors fella shows a real passion or far too much time or obsessive compulsive disorder, not sure which though, but cant fault you great motors.

  42. I've had my slash 2 years and still on the original vel spec - I changed the pinion to 16 and temps been good on 3s. I was expecting it to go, but it keeps on going... The combo recommended was what I heard everyone saying so would be my choice, it must be a trusted replacement.
