  2. Why not? I'm slowly putting together a Savage 6x6 just because I can Sometimes it just has to be done even though the end result won't be better than a stock one, just to have something different. These are toys to have fun with

  7. Hyper 7 diffs are tough as nails and will take 6S abuse no problem... Don't get a torsen diff, much weaker than a standard diff. To help make a diff more durable, mesh it so the gear meshes are perfect and you should never break one. I run 8S in my Hyper, no problems so far

  11. you wont need to really buy anything for it apart from spares . try finding some good setups to try on it though as they can seem pretty crap if not also good tyres too. check what they guys run at the club your going to and see if anyone uses the same car and see if they will share their setup with you. most guys are willing to help others dont want you to beat them so will be tight or just dont have a clue.

  15. Probably not but it really depends on the track. Most Proline racing tyres are meant for US style Dirt tracks of which there is a massive total of one in the UK! The most common racing tyres for 1/10th buggys are Schumacher Yellow Minispikes (dry astroturf, grass + some indoor tracks), Ballistic Buggy Green Minispikes ( wet astro or grass) or Schumacher Yellow Minipins (carpet and other indoor tracks). I have all three types for my 210 but mostly run Yellow Minispikes as they work OK pretty much all the time except in the wet. Fresh sets are good on grass, worn ones useful indoors on polished floors so I have 3 sets at different stages of wear. Those are for the back wheels - for the fronts Schumacher Yellow Cut Staggers work most of the time, and Schumacher Green Spikes for wet conditions. Basically unless you are running outdoors this winter you can't go far wrong with a set of Schumacher Yellow Minispikes at the back and Cut Staggers at the front.

  17. Stef that's some list of quallys Unfortunately I don't know any sparkys but kudos for doing all that off your own back. I don't suspect you'll have any trouble finding someone to take you on, you're probably one of the most talented blokes I know

  18. No....it's not. If you read teh post above...it's actually a common E-Bay seller tactic. They list a load of product and find they have sold out before the auction ends. Then, rather than cancel the ad as tehy probably have more on the way and would get charged for relisting....they bump up the price to stupid money so nobody buys. then when the stock comes in...the price goes back to normal. It's just a way ofavoiding paying extra fees to E-bay

  19. Doesn't the standard Diff and spider use the same internal spider gears? Just the Spider has 2 Extra of the orbiting spiders? Every picture I've seen of both the standard and spider gears look of exactly the same design and depth, And when taking my spider and normal diffs apart noticed no difference in the gears themselves. If there are steel replacements for the standard diff, chances are they will work fine in the Spider diff, only you will need an extra 2 of the smaller gears. Do you have a link to these replacement steel gears? I might buy a couple of sets and rebuild my spider with em.

  20. Not much more to explain really, you did a pretty good job Burst rating of the esc ( baring in mind it's the motor that pulls the current ( amps ), the esc is just rated to handle it for a certain length of time before it will go pop ) is often something like double or triple the continuous rating, though in real world situations you are looking at ~40-60amps continuous draw, and around 120-140amps bursts. Ofcourse, the higher the battery ratings ( burst rating & cont' ) then the less voltage sag their will be during those bursts & sustained full throttle / high load situations, and the cooler the battery will stay as it isn't being pushed as hard ( due to the higher-than-you-think-you-need ratings ). Overkill on batts never hurts, especially with so many cheaper brands around these days.

  26. The Team C T8 is essentially the same car as the Ansmann X8 because Ansmann have licenced it from Team C, So you might have more luck getting spares from that direction There are some differences though, Some of the Ansmann team drivers were giving lots of feedback to team c, And getting updated parts in response from them for their X8's but those updated parts never made their way into the ansmann kit, but are included in the Team-C T8's.

  32. Hi all i have finally broke something .. My centre diff i filled it with 300,000 cst diff oil, which i thought would lock it up a bit .. Instead it blow the diff, only lasted about half a 4s pack.. Anyway i stripped it down but its not that bad lucky for me i could just shim it and see how it goes.. So what oil should i use 100,000cst or less, i have put 60,000 in the front and 30,000 in the rear.. I want to stop the pizza cutter wheels on the front One last thing anyone know where i can get some Associated diff gears part number AS89120 from that are in stock????
