  3. There's more octain in it? Kind of answered your own question there dude. For such a small engine it will make no difference at all.

  5. Right everyone has differing opinions of what mixture is best for your engine, so here's a simple guide if you are unsure, these aren't the only mixtures you can use but are the most popular 25:1 - 200ml oil : 5 litres of fuel Richer setting, best for breaking in an engine, but can be used for normal running, will keep your engine alive for years 32:1 - 150ml oil : 5 litres of fuel Intermediate Setting, probably the most common amongst the everyday basher, slightly more lean than the 25:1 so will give you a bigger bang and some more rev's, but also has enough oil to keep your engine well lubricated and working smoothly 40:1 - 125ml oil : 5 litres of fuel Leaner setting for higher performance and higher revs but lower oil content, it won't cause your engine to explode but it will have a shorter lifespan than one running at 25:1. You don't have to stick to these mixture's, you can try in between ones such as 36:1 which is 140ml of oil to 5 litres of fuel etc. I wouldn't suggest going beyond 40:1 though as the low oil content could shorten your engine's lifespan considerably Monstrous

  6. NOW SPLITTING, IF YOU SEE ANYTHING YOU WANT, PM ME, SOME BITS ARE ALREADY SPOKEN FOR! Somewhat reluctantly putting my 5B up for sale. With the way things are financially at the moment, I can't afford anything to break on it at a bash really, and their isn't much point is being just sat there doing nothing if someone can be enjoying it. The spec/upgrades are as follows... KM chassis OBR 28.5 Raceport UBer RC Predator V1 VVCHD (6mm) shocks allround Innovative-RC front chassis brace Front Threshold crown Uber RC front bumper Uber RC rear bumper Yamadude throttle linkage Savox SC 0251 Throttle servo HPI SFL-10MG Killer Bee V1 + Buzzer KM front shock brace KM rear shock brace TR Front plate TR one piece ADA billet manifold H Bomb Team chase rear uprights Hostile 57t spur gear Alloy open wheel nuts Hostile MX rear tyres Pro-line Bowtie front tyres Phatdad fan cover saver DDM fuel cap Snappy RC fuel line kit Alloy diff case Enclosed clutch carrier HPI air filter It has just had new turnbuckles, new rear hub carrier set, new front and rear ball joints and arms, the air filter is also only about 30 minutes of run time old, the tyres have only had about an hour on grass as well, front and back, also has new drive shafts on the back end. Comes with about 20 (or so) beadlocks for inner and outer, about 10 tyres, a mixture of front and back, most are new or like new, also comes with a spare spiderman shell, along with a wing too. There are some bad bits, like there is a bit of play in the steering tree, but it comes with a brand new AbbotsRC one, it just needs fitting. Comes with a spare drive shaft, ball joints, rear chassis etc... You can see in the pictures. Also comes with the stand, and if the person collects (which I'd prefer) then I'll throw in about 9L of fuel, already mixed with Castrol oil to a 25:1 ratio, and the remaining oil as well. If anyone wants a video of it starting from cold, I'm also happy to do that for extra peace of mind that it starts and runs spot on. You will need your own radio gear and charger, as I'm keeping mine for my drifter, and if I get another RC in the future. Price wise, I'm asking

  7. H i all i thought id show you how i did the fs gearbox in my rush as i know a couple of people are interested in possibly doing it them selves , the only reason i did it was because i was sick to death of the cheese gearbox parts in the rush evo everytime i took it out with in 5 mins it was knackerd so i thought sod it get a fs box in it as they have all metal gears so making it a little more rubust and allowing an upgrade 18 engine in with out the worry of stripping gears i made some spacers from 3mm aluminium but i did tidy them up too lol so with the 52 t spur its been lifted 9mm but you can get away with about 7 mm any less and the spur hits the rear arm and jams , the firestorm spur is a little too small reall for engine to mesh right

  12. The only time you will start to see a difference in fuel is with larger car engines that are made for performance. Even then it is minimal no matter what people tell you. The only time you will see a difference is when using race fuel which you cant use in your 1/5, I had a race fuel set-up available to me in my Skyline (when I had it) only used it once for Santa pod (because the fuel is expensive!) and it gained around 70whp.

  14. i would go with a TT-01 or a TL-01 both cheap enough to pick up second hand and nice and easy to drift, just lock the rear diff and put some drift tyres on and your away! you can get a set of 4 drift wheels and tyres from modelsport for under

  18. You will not find a cable to fit....all Marders etc. as far back as I can recall used rods for the throttle. Best bet would be to look for a bicycle brake/gear cable and then shorten it to suit. Alternatively...you may find it easier to convert to a rod.

  29. Well, new diff cases arrived for the Hyper 7, so that should be working, plus the bits I need to repair the Slash also arrived so that should be working. Also got to repair the XS, but I'm tempted to do a full strip down on that which will inevitably lead to me finding more stuff that needs repairing on it. I'm a 50:50 for this weekend, mainly going to depend on what the weather does and how much spanner time I can find.
