If you click the quote box, you get a small square on the top left of it (the "movement-square"). If you hover over that and press delete, it disappears.

Or, you have the same bug that OHO has sometimes. Then i don't know. :P

Thanks but I don't see a square in the top left, guess I'll just have to go on confusing everyone by randomly quoting them :D

That's what my Blitz is for, it gets run whatever the weather. I'll think I'll take the Trophy out for a quick test then put it into hibernation... or buy a waterproof esc and it can join the Blitz lol

Hey buddy. I noticed you're selling your Rage off. What you going to replace it with?

For waterproof I would go with Hobbywing sc8 if sticking with 4s (unknown sellers to me)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EZRUN-120A-ESC-SC8-Brushless-Waterproof-Speed-Controller-Hobbywing-RC-Car-Truck-/311521153566?hash=item48881b921e:g:KWYAAOSwX~dWj4GD

or with card:

If you plan on 5-6s in the future get the quicrun 150: (both sellers I use)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-HOBBYWING-QuicRun-WP-8BL150-Brushless-Sensorless-Speed-Controllers-150A-ESC-/231169458771?hash=item35d2c60253:g:BrcAAOxyGwNTDxdm

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-Model-QUICRUN-WP8BL150-R-C-Brushless-Motor-150A-ESC-Speed-Controller-SL205-/251548140373?hash=item3a91700355:g:CUIAAMXQNo5TWhXe

Downside with Hobbywing to me is the LVC control isn't that tunable so would recommend a small alarm unit other than that they're good esc's :)

If you are not bothered about waterproof then I would buy this again and again, i've used 1 for 2 years now and hasn't faulted :)

Needs the box tho to get the best fine adjustment and does 4-5-6s

Thanks for the links. Waterproof is essential for me so I planned on going with the SC8, however if a Quicrun came up at the right price it would be nice to have the option to run 5s from time to time :)

@dazp. I'm needing to waterproof my truggy so I might opt for that ezrun sc8, will it be easy enough to fit, just drop straight in type thing? Won't be using anything more than 4s

This quote box thing issue is getting stupid on here.

@Sully Might have to cut 1 end of esc tray down + zip tie over it to get it to fit. Definately the case with the quicrun.

Edit: Or use the servo tape/pad to stick to the chassis. Some have tabs on the side so chassis can be drilled and countersunk in 2 places to bolt it on as well.

Anyone know what big bores fit the trophy truggy. Near the same length as stock shocks

Nope. Honestly, knowing what I know now I wouldn't bother either. They just don't seem to pack well regardless of oil + piston  + spring used and just bitch slap the floor. The lay down angle which you have on the Trophy makes them just soft as. I've tried 112mm and 124mm hotbodies at various angles, every piston from 1.2 - 1.4, every oil from 25wt to 70wt, most Kyosho hard springs and nearly all hpi/hot bodies springs, both D8T towers, scratch built towers, various bits bolted to towers for different angles and now got fed up with it so it's sat in the garage and I'm running my near stock one until I have an epiphany :D:D:D

If you are breaking caps and bending shafts I would say it's more likely down to heavy oil so maybe the best bet is to double the shocks up so you can run a lower weight oil but get a similar effect in handling. This could help a bit.

I noticed you have some bb's on the front already so put your 4 stock ones on the rear with a lower weight oil and see what the results are, might as well try it out.

I'm running mine relatively soft now on the flux, it slaps well but handles well. I have had nowhere near as much shock damage and have put on a T-bone to protect chassis rear.

Weight reduction. :P

I wish. Guess that's why you see big bores on the lightweights.

My next plan is to get some extra pistons and some small screws and blank off 3 holes so instead of say 1.2 - 6 hole I end up with 1.2 - 3 hole. This should then in theory give some pack when they bottom, technically the spring is just supposed to be hard enough to support the weight of the car when standing and the oil does the rest but when set up like that I slap badly because it doesn't pack and feels the same through the whole stroke. In theory this idea should work.

With the Trophy shocks I can fill them in a way that they can either feel the same through the full stroke or stop dead when only half way up which is pack so I pack mine just as they hit the top of the stroke. Too much and you can blow the cap off or bend a shaft. With the big bores it isn't possible.
