Hi i am trying to decide on tyres for my Savage XL.I have some tech 5 wheels and like the look of the 40 series Moabs.Does anyone run these tyres on grass and if so do they grip ok?Thanks.

Thanks for the reply mate :good: .I opted for the Moabs tho. They are the same diameter as the xl terra pins but wider. Its strange because even tho they are the same height as the stockers they look huge.I havent weighed them yet as i dont want to break my scales :P .The XL is deffinatley going to need the bullet proof diffs and an LRP 30 now :good: .

No worries! :)

You might want to add a super-dooper powerful steering servo to the wish list as well! ;) My Ace DS1015 struggles a little with the Big Joes, and thats pretty hardcore, next step up is one of the new Savox servos with a lipo pack....

I ordered Joes for my truck and what came in the post today???? MOABS!!! they are 100grams heavier than the joes per corner!!! CRAZY!

I dont know if i want to keep them or not... I will have a proper look at them today and see whether or not?

Im quite tempted to stretch them over some 7" HPI Tremor rims and see how they look.

I weighed the Moabs mounted on tech 5 wheels and they weight exactly the same as losi lst 2 wheels and tyres.I didnt want to lower the ground clearance of my xl anymore.I have the Big Bore shocks that have lowered it a bit but the Moabs look good :good: .
