nitro car on beach good or bad idea ?

if you strip em down and clean everything and clen including bearings when you get back then dont see a prob with it however if you wanna run them and not do that the salt water and sand will kill it

Waterproof your receiver and servo's as best you can. A waterproof air filter is also a good idea. As long as you strip and clean as said above it will be fine. One thing you might want to take along in your equipment is some high powered nitro cleaner/bearing blast etc, if your glow plug fails you will be able to blast the sand away from the cooling head to change it without any grains falling inside the engine. Its well worth getting some sand paddle tyres, they make a huge difference

Other good bit of kit to take is a spade ;)

all of the above and also if you havent already i would just secure a tie wrap around the air filter to make sure that does jump off at any point as if its going to do that then you can be sure it will do it at a beach

as a few have already said above good clean when you get home. i went the beach with my hyper 7 once when i still had it. an when i came back i from the beach i left cleaning the car till the next day. a then i had to replace all the wheel bearings cos they were well f****d.
