  1. Hi just about to order one of these engines though unsure if they are worth getting? Any comments would be considered. Many Thanks as selling on Ebay
  2. You might also make sure youve got a decent failsafe on matey as beaches are a long way to jog after your car at full tilt!
  3. Can quite easily smash a tooth of one of the gears or move the engine mounts, which ever one gives first! Another day ruined
  4. Had the same prob mate the back of the engine around the pullstartwas touching the chassis before the mount. I choose to put a washer inbetween the plate and the mounts to just give me that fraction that i needed though you may wish to get a proper engine mount spacer.
  5. if you are after like something you already own for just general bashing then you could do far worse that these. My link. When it comes to racing then you really need to look, compare and ask at the meeting what other people are using as its not just the track surface but issues such as weather and length of race that matter to name but a few. Hope this helps.
  6. Dosent really matter matey, the main concern is that the gears mesh. Look on youtube for how to mesh the gears
  7. May be well intrested in rotostart plate it you could enlighten me of what it has come of of the dimensions? and the parts ie from the underside ie gears
  8. Found a nice easy method thats a quick fix when your pull starts leads go slack. Just keep a couple of cable tie(s) with you and loop one through the head loose enough so that you can just push the handle through it after you start your car, works just fine
  9. Have a look on flebay and see what the price of parts are matey and how common they are, may well sway you opinion as to what you get!
  10. Jumping really rules out truck, prob best bet truggy larger wheel base to land on, option hyper range mate
  11. Would not be without mine mate, makes life alot easier in the longrun
  12. The drill rpm should be around 2000 matey but please make sure you have set the torque set low to start with as not to hydro lock it
  13. I tend to think this maybe normal due to the fact of you sealing the engine. I honestly would undo the plug a tad to start it and tighten it up once you get it going. Mostly everyone i know has had some (s** of * B***h) bruising, blisters from starter handles. Another way you may find that helps it start is to warm the engine with a hairdryer this should hopefully relief the tolerances of the engine and also make it easier to start. Give the above a go before you start to take the engine apart mate as it quick and easy to do!
  14. My advice is to loosen the plug of a tad still to make it easier to start and then tighten it up again. Also make sure your not flooding the engine when trying to start it. Whats the resistance like without the plug in?
