dazzi220
Is the HPI savage ribbed tuned pipe, ribbed for a reason or is it just a look thing?
mth
it controls the flow of the fumes...creates more pressure in the pipe i believe. don't quote me on that though, best asking someone that knows more about nitro (i'm an electric guy )

300ZXZ31
it has something to do with exhaust pulses i think.
mth
a thought you new everythign mth lol ← i am far from knowing everything..i have a fair bit of knowledge in the electric side but not much on the nitro side tbh

Screamer17
The ribbed pipe allows the S-25 to breathe more freely for improved power and throttle response, its to do with complicated back pressure, the way the gases are passed through the pipe, backflow and how quickly and efficiently it leaves the engineetc
waz
LOL, it is to do with backflow. It will add alot of low end, and a little top-end on some engine. All pipes do differently on different engines.

Samari
I don't like the ribbed pipe. It has a more aggresive bottom end but I felt that it didn't give a smooth power range and lost a little top end.

Samari
I'm not saying it's a bad pipe it's just that I think the Savvy already has enough torque without needing a pipe to boost it up. This is why I choose my Tsais pipe - it is aimed more at speed than power and gives a smother power range.
