Recommended Posts

Finished building it for now

So wheels from my mtqp went on as had them to hand

Hobbywing 120amp esc

Speed passion competition mmm 4.5r brushless motor

25tooth pinion

I wish I had a gps as on 2s it's stupid fast

Grip there is none

Rolling burnouts yes

Faster than the mt10 on 3s

This is running 2s

Quarter throttle it's stupid

Other plans are get a 10.5turn motor

Change the gearing

Fit some carpet suitable wheels and tyres and take it racing but for being daft and bashing the 4.5 is good fun

Oh and cut down the body posts

After seeing your link in the other thread I've just ordered one of these. Couldn't stop myself at the price. It'll be my first Xray so interested to compare to my Schumacher and Associated cars.

The x-ray kit is a dream to build honestly the instructions are brilliant and it's all in bags in order

Open bag one build it

Open bag 2 build it

And so on until car is complete at bag 7

I did the same couldn't stop myself when I walked in and they where at that price

And Dave who owns the shop is a top bloke

Nice paint job!

What surface are you racing on? I've just started racing an XB2 on grass and was really impressed with how well it handles on the stock set up

Carpet currently

We have alot of local carpet tracks there's a grass track local aswell I want to go give it a blast one aswell

And same I am on stock setup

These xt2s have been that cheep for the kit ATM that just about everyone who races local has gone one so we have some good stadium truck events now and everyone comments on how well they grip and corner

The downside to the st is they have a bit to much body roll

So got stiffer springs and rear anti roll bar kit on the way for it

You're lucky to have a few options! The grass track is only about 10 mins from my house, so very convenient. Unfortunately the next closest track is well over an hour away but hoping to get over there at some point as it looks like an awesome track.

Bet a big heat full of them is fun to race in!

So will add some more pics later but will be tweaking the suspension a bit

Adjusting a few bits as body roll is a bit more than I would like

So have gone for dot 3 springs front and rear

And the rear anti roll bar kit

I see how this goes on wed and if am still not happy plan is to swap the front 1.4mm anti roll bar to the rear

And order the 1.8mm anti roll bar for the front

I guess you might’ve already seen this, but here’s a setup guide for the XT2

https://site.petitrc.com/setup/xray/setupxt2/XT2_SetupHelper/

I found one for the XB4 it’s really useful for working out what you could alter to make handling changes you’re after
