New to trailing/crawling but not to RC

Hi all please help might be a stupid question but I'm looking for a trail truck/ rock crawler . This month (may 2021)I bought a ftx outback 2 ranger as wasn't sure if I would get on with trailing/crawling as I have cars, buggies, boats, on road trucks, parakite, hovercraft, monster trucks, I had a motorbike but couldn't gat on with it now.

I was looking to upgrade to another crawler and I was wondering what is the best to choose from this list, (can't afford traxxas trx4). MY BUDGET IS ABOUT £300

Ftx kanyon (love the size and look)

Ftx hi-rock (been told it's a good truck not so keen on the look but could live with it)

Sca-1e range rover (love the look )

Element trailwalker (been told another good truck but ftx hi-back has more spares)

Out of the 4 which would be the best one

Many thanks for your help 👍

Probably the Kanyon as it ticks all your boxes, its quite a bit bigger than your standard 1/10 cralwers eg the highrock.
However i would say the highrock will be stronger, the kanyon is big and has some design flaws imo, just held on with 2 screws and not much material to hold the body mounting plate / bumpers that will take all the impacts.
You can swap the high rock body for pretty much any 1/10 crawler body, you wont have the same luck with the kanyon.
Cant speak for SCA1e, the limited edition one looks good with the alloy wheels tho.
The trailwalker will be a solid choice also, with overdrive it will climb better than the highrock, just keep an eye on the tire sizes as the highrock used 1.9' the kanyon 2.2' and the element 1.55' tires.

Thanks for your reply I agree the sca-1e range rover looks good with the alloy wheels, the trailwalker being 1.55 tires could they be changes for 1.9 like I have on my outback 2 and the hi-rock?? after reading your reply I'm leaning more towards the hi-rock or the trailwalker but still can't decide lol

I have the Carisma deluxe Range Rover kit and an Element Sendero HD (near enough identical to the Trailwalker for the purposes of this question)

Personally I think the Element RC offering is far superior chassis wise, better build quality, overdrive transmission, behind the axle steering, really really capable truck 👍

I’ve got a pile of 1.9 wheels and tyres of different profiles, I really must get around to trying them on the Sendero

Thanks for the replys. do you ever get the feel you should just keep you mouth shut? as I'm feeling this way now as I can't decide which one to go for and the more I think about it the harder it gets to decide, the flex on the hobao doesn't look as much as the element or the hi-rock still such a hard one 🤯🤯🤯🤯
