Decent Cheap Lipo

Hi thought I’d do a quick one on cheapo lipos.

Not everyone can spend the money wanted from big brand names, some of us take a gamble on the cheaper end of the selections out there.

I’ve had a few now and with mixed results.

So below I’ll name and quick review of what I found.

Florion 5000mah 3S,

Comes with strap.

Sdecent power, didn’t last too long before it started to bend into an S shape. Max 6 months use.

HRB 5000mah 3S, again decent power and punch, long charge time, no swelling or bending, had failure with live wire coming loose inside the battery.

Yome 6200ah 3S hard case.

Good performance, decent runtime, arrived balanced.

Very good value at 67 quid for 2.

GoldBat

5200 mah 3S, 2 for approx £65

Our favourite to date if honest.

Well packaged on arrival,

Comes with strap and xt60 adaptor,

Looks to be well made.

Charge reasonably fast, great punch and general power.

These seem to last for ever.

Out performs the Yome above at present but Yome prob needs balancing right now.

Overlander 4500mah 3S

Hard case.

This lasted well and had good punch and power. Decent runtimes too.

Lasted the longest probably 2 years.

Hope this may be of some use to someone.

I'm having good experience with Voltz batteries.

Bit too chunky for my trx4 and my absima but fit my arrma no worries.

3s 5000mah and 50c about £45 each.

Had deans plugs but swapped them out for ec5

Theres really few absolutely terrible batteries around now, there's only a handful of factories producing them before they have brand X or Y applied, thats why you see  so many different packs with similar numbers nowadays. Most variation are found in configurations. The racing market are where the biggest performance differences are seen. Basically if you're not racing, buy whatever you can afford.
