  1. Well the one I got was from modelsport, so you'd hope it was legit. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  2. I'd already binned the box or else I'd have sent mine back. Tried it with a sport tuned and a stock silver can 540, an absima ab3.4 buggy and a lunchbox, and the two batteries. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  3. These new 1060s are crap. They all go into limp. There's loads of posts and videos on Yt about it. Even a fix with a capacitor kit. Mine did it with a stock 540 tamiya and both a new Lipo and a nimh. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  4. Fantastic, thanks! Edit. Looking at it, they're hardbodys. By the time I've bought one of those plus the wheels, I may as well buy a SCA-1E. Three RC Crawlers it is!
  5. Does anyone know of a Range Rover classic shell to fit the TRX-4 Sport? I've been looking at the SCA-1E Range Rover as an addition to my fleet, but I really don't need three of the same type of crawler (I have a TRX-4 Sport and a TRX-4 Defender already) Thanks!
  6. I've got a few gens, not a problem. Although I don't limit myself to what the battery connection is, I'll happily solder on a new one if I get a better deal on a pack. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  7. Also, look at the bolehills for a bashing spot. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  8. I like it take mine up around Lodge Moor. There's a car park off lodge lane and there's multiple options for crawling and trailing. Alternatively, up near Redmires reservoir there's a car park called fox hagg. From there you can drop down to another reservoir over some gnarly obstacles and trail back up. 9. Worst case scenario is its going to introduce more heat into the connection as there's more resistance. If you're not pushing the motor anywhere near max then this won't matter. But if you have a decent soldering iron just swap the plug. It's easy enough. Just don't be careless and drop solder on yourself. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  10. Mine did this. New 2x overlander nimh batteries, stock silver can or sport tuned, didn't matter. They've changed something with this esc. They used to be good, but now they are unreliable junk. It's put me off buying the 1080 for my crawlers. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  11. Are the rear wheels free turning or are they stiff? They could be old grease in the diff or it's a really tight mesh putting stress on the motor. Could be dust inside getting burnt off. Could be knackered. But a silver can 540 are pennies to replace Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  12. You can run any battery you like, but that esc offers telemetry, so you'd see charge level, temperatures etc from the battery with an ic5 pack. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  13. I'm having good experience with Voltz batteries. Bit too chunky for my trx4 and my absima but fit my arrma no worries. 3s 5000mah and 50c about £45 each. Had deans plugs but swapped them out for ec5 Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  14. You must be doing something wrong. 540 cans have the screw holes in the same place. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  15. I have the same issue with the same bits. I run the motor in an absima ab3.4. Mine eases the power on instead of just giving me everything all at once. I think it's the start mode that can be programmed into it. It's a bit soft. I also bought a program card and it too flashes the work light and doesn't actually change anything. I think it needs a different card. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  16. I think people with the latest batch would disagree with you. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  17. https://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/forums/topic/241711-absima-ab34-steering-modification/&share_tid=241711&share_fid=4338&share_type=t&link_source=app Absima AB3.4 Steering Modification Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  18. I had problems with mine being a bit stiff, my kit was missing the screws but when the replacement came it was better. I just didn't like how it was plastic on plastic and modified the linkage. I set the end points for the steering servo and it's been fine. Only problem I have now after fitting a cheap goolrc brushless setup and a 3s battery is that it keeps chucking tyres into the trees. 19. Brushed doesn't care. Put voltage one way it spins one way, put voltage in the other way, spins the other way. Lipo mode does nothing fancy. All it does is enable low voltage cut off. You can run it in Nimh mode with a lipo, but you'd want an alarm. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  20. Mine would run fine until it ran slow. Motor and esc were cold. Not overheating/thermal cut out. It just ran slow until I turned it off and on again. Loads of videos and comments about these esc doing this. Calling it limp mode. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  21. Mine had a whinge with a stock 540 and a nimh battery, on both a lunchbox and an absima ab3.4. While you won't knacker the things running the other way around, they're a garbage esc. No doubt the more expensive ones are better but this one's left a bad taste in my mouth. Look at the led when it starts to run slow. That'll tell you whether it's actually lvc or not. I bought the capacitor kit but I don't want to fit it as it'll lose the waterproofness Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  22. My spoiler parts arrived from blacksmith, very sturdy. Even if you give it a reasonable squeeze the arms don't move. Won't fit on the standard suspension tower though, but I've found a UK stockist for the HSP re-inforced tower so that should be here tomorrow fingers crossed. This all feels much more sturdy than the stock plastic bits so far. If you permanently bend this setup, I think you'd have caused some serious damage to the rest of the car.
  23. Good to know. Turns out the one off amazon is coming all the way from China. I've bought the alloy wing brackets from blacksmith and they have removable body post mounts so all I'd need to do to the body is the two notches you've made. Wish I'd just bought the hsp! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  24. In a lot of cases though, you're just paying someone else to place that same order for you. If I can order from China and get the same part, at the same quality for a better price, why pay more for the privilege? Unless you're desperate for the part obviously as you have quite a wait from China. I'd rather the difference in price be in my own pocket than someone else's. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  25. I can't see why it wouldn't fit.I've been spending some time looking into it, and the hsp, wltoys and absima all use the same differential, the diff screws down to the chassis plate and the shock tower screws to the diff. Shock positioning may be different but shouldn't make a difference. I've ordered one from amazon. FLAMEER Aluminum Alloy Rear Shock Tower for HSP 1:10 Radio Control RC Buggy Car Purple https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KZ6139M/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_i_0f2ZEbQ2QZQCR Might need a different way of mounti the spoiler.
