  1. Well the one I got was from modelsport, so you'd hope it was legit. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  2. I'd already binned the box or else I'd have sent mine back. Tried it with a sport tuned and a stock silver can 540, an absima ab3.4 buggy and a lunchbox, and the two batteries. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  3. These new 1060s are crap. They all go into limp. There's loads of posts and videos on Yt about it. Even a fix with a capacitor kit. Mine did it with a stock 540 tamiya and both a new Lipo and a nimh. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  4. Fantastic, thanks! Edit. Looking at it, they're hardbodys. By the time I've bought one of those plus the wheels, I may as well buy a SCA-1E. Three RC Crawlers it is!
  5. Does anyone know of a Range Rover classic shell to fit the TRX-4 Sport? I've been looking at the SCA-1E Range Rover as an addition to my fleet, but I really don't need three of the same type of crawler (I have a TRX-4 Sport and a TRX-4 Defender already) Thanks!
  6. I've got a few gens, not a problem. Although I don't limit myself to what the battery connection is, I'll happily solder on a new one if I get a better deal on a pack. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  7. Also, look at the bolehills for a bashing spot. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
  8. I like it take mine up around Lodge Moor. There's a car park off lodge lane and there's multiple options for crawling and trailing. Alternatively, up near Redmires reservoir there's a car park called fox hagg. From there you can drop down to another reservoir over some gnarly obstacles and trail back up. 9. Worst case scenario is its going to introduce more heat into the connection as there's more resistance. If you're not pushing the motor anywhere near max then this won't matter. But if you have a decent soldering iron just swap the plug. It's easy enough. Just don't be careless and drop solder on yourself. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  10. Mine did this. New 2x overlander nimh batteries, stock silver can or sport tuned, didn't matter. They've changed something with this esc. They used to be good, but now they are unreliable junk. It's put me off buying the 1080 for my crawlers. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  11. Are the rear wheels free turning or are they stiff? They could be old grease in the diff or it's a really tight mesh putting stress on the motor. Could be dust inside getting burnt off. Could be knackered. But a silver can 540 are pennies to replace Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  12. You can run any battery you like, but that esc offers telemetry, so you'd see charge level, temperatures etc from the battery with an ic5 pack. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  13. I'm having good experience with Voltz batteries. Bit too chunky for my trx4 and my absima but fit my arrma no worries. 3s 5000mah and 50c about £45 each. Had deans plugs but swapped them out for ec5 Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  14. You must be doing something wrong. 540 cans have the screw holes in the same place. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  15. I have the same issue with the same bits. I run the motor in an absima ab3.4. Mine eases the power on instead of just giving me everything all at once. I think it's the start mode that can be programmed into it. It's a bit soft. I also bought a program card and it too flashes the work light and doesn't actually change anything. I think it needs a different card. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
