Well the other truck went for crazy money this am, so I am going to get a couple of bodyshells instead, Bittydesign and Mon Tech both do them, very inexpensive, with great reviews....👍

Liking the trucks more I look at them! Strange as 30 yrs in RC, never thought to own one even though I watch 1:1 truck racing! 

 

Red cab looks like it could do with the paint backing??

agreed about the red cab, it could have done with a second/ third coat or backing, previous owner must have run out of paint....🤣🤣.

Ran the truck yesterday afternoon post X Maxx servo giving up....need to raise the cab at front, although the concrete in front of the barn is not flattest....

 

Also need to fit the cab supports....

Swapped out all the rubbish plastic bearings in the hubs  this morning, just the diffs, then job done...

managed to secure a motor mount locally...

One thing we found with the  standard Tamiya body is to run a foam block above the chassis foam bumper. It supports the underside of the cab pretty well. Are you racing yours  at a club or bashing it?

Gentle bashing, might take it to the local club for laugh, it’s hard enough getting them to agree to run a vintage class....so who knows....that won’t be for some time though...
