Roto-start Battery Pack Query

Hi,

I'm new ish to the world of nitro rc vehicles, and with my latest purchase of a Nanda NRB-5 buggy, I also purchased a Fastrax Roto-Start so that I could save my fingers from too much damage by getting them caught in the pull-start as I have previously done!

My issues is, that the Roto-Start didn't come with a battery. So, my question is, what sort of mAh rating battery do I need to put in the Roto-Start as I've seen a variety of answers from 1500 mAh to 5000 mAh on other forums so would like to ask this question here where I can put out my query instead of picking bits from all over the internet and hoping for the best, while also being able to interact with those who answer my query incase I need any further clarification.

Many thanks in advance.

Matt

I use 5000s in mine, they last for a good while even with big block motors. Youll most likely need to charge it every other meet only

Okay, sweet. Thanks for that, it's much appreciated!

Almost any will be OK. It is a case of balancing capacity (mah) which governs run time, against cost.  Not arguing against 5000mah, but for me, around 3300/3600mah is a reasonable compromise.
