Hi guys

Ive had my hyper 7 28 for 2 months now and think now its time for some upgrades. I was wondering if there is a 2 speed transmission upgrade for the hyper 7 28. If there is would it make a great difference to the speed? Any other suggestion for upgrades thanks :helpsmilie::ph34r::glare:

depends what your doing with your Car matey , I know down my club last year we set up a Race and made our Hypers into onroad with the ofna conversion... I was going to get the 2 speed conversion for mine but never did.... they are good mind just not ideal for offroading!!

if your racing the Car round a track tho its worth spending £80 rather than blowing it up..

Because when you jump you need to use the throttle to control the car in the air and the 2 speed will be constantly changing up and down... and it really isnt worth the money....

More parts under friction, And not only in air, but over rough ground, it will constantly want to be changine gear.

Going fast offroad aint the point, keeping control is, as there is little traction, and wheel spinning will shift to early = Slow start

Only reason Cars like Savage and T-maxx have installed is because of the shear weight, they need a low gear ratio to get them going, and then another gear to give them a slight chance of doing anything decent

i had the 2 speed set up in rex x buggy and it didnt really matter about off road becuase they have a kind of clutch system so they can readily keep shifting from 1st to 2nd

it does get rid of 1 diff but youve still got 2 more to help you out

i used min off road all the time and iv got the monster truck version of the rex-x which i was using on wet tarmac with locked diffs and that didnt do any damage just kept changing down when it needed
