brought a new receiver and steering servo the other day for my ECX barrage, the new receiver isn't connecting to the existing transmitter. It came with a binding pin but still no join. Who could help?

Did you get the exact same reciever as the one before? If not then 90% chance that it won't bind if they're two different brands

no brought a upgrade, and the transmitter is a 2.4Ghz one. It doesn't have any bind buttons or procedure to bind it, just a new receiver and a binding pin that came with it. The steering servo is also a upgrade. When I fist put it all on it work for a while that was with the old receiver and new steering servo.

Sounds like you have bought the wrong receiver. What make is the old and new receiver as well as the transmitter?

Just be careful about buying 'upgrades' if you aren't 100% sure, because 95% of the time they are just more expensive versions of what you had with no real advantage.

Have a look online on how to bind it up, it should have a way to do it, some of the bind buttons are recessed, to stop you pressing them by mistake.

Double check your receiver and transmitter are actually compatible with each other, you can't just bind any receiver to any transmitter bud :good:

got all that in the manual. It was brought brand new, and told the model can be upgraded. Found the upgrades I wanted and they don't work.

Bit confused, you describe it as an 'upgrade' but in what way?

The stock ECX one is waterproof and 2.4ghz so not sure how you upgrade from that? Or is it a replacement after problems with the original?

Also you say that the new one came with a bind pin? The one that Noj linked (which is the right one) uses a bind button.

Are you sure it's the same one?

Regardless of why a new RX was considered as an upgrade over the perfectly fine stock item, as you have discovered, it ain't working, for the reasons already pointed out.

So, replace the stock RX and return the new one or buy a new TX that is compatible with the new RX. There are no other options.

As for upgrades, have a look at the aluminium parts, wince at the prices, then have a look at parts for the FTX Outback (same chassis) and wince less. There are owners threads for both rigs in the Crawler section, see how we're all getting on and what has been done for inspiration.  :good:
