E/T Maxx tyre choice?

Right,I'm  really undecided on the choice for my Emaxx tyre/wheel wise.I have a set of Proline Trenchers and they don't look scale to the truck.I think these are 3.8??? https://www.prolineracing.com/tires/trencher-3.8-40-series-all-terrain-tires-mounted-on-tech-5-black-wheels/

I have seen a set of Duratrax 2.8 and I believe these are smaller than the Prolines? http://www.rcplanet.com/DuraTrax_Sixpack_MT_2_8_Mounted_Truck_Tires_2WD_1_p/dtxc3522.htm

And they look a damn site better too!

What are you lads/girls using on yours.Advise appreciated.

Gracias .

I assume it's the similar to the T-maxx. Does it have the Traxxas Talons? Those are 3.8 but the tyres are lower profile to the Trenchers.

The Proline shockwaves on Desperado or tech 5 rims are more in line with the Talon sizes.

The Trenchers are wider with a deeper sidewall which make them look different.

Best tires my revo had was the badland 3.8in. I think nitros show easier when ther bogged down and the only two that didn't bog in medium grass was talons and badlands.

Big joes almost stopped in 6in grass. Picco power too.

Those Duratrax will be just like 1/8th buggy wheel size with more width, tiny.

You won't move with Big Joe's, 380grams per wheel, too heavy, rubbish.

Badlands are good, not as wide as Talon's.

Talons and Shockwaves are similar size, lower sidewall, less prone to rollovers

Trenchers too high a sidewall and will cause more rollovers at speed.

Personally I like the Talons but they easily tear, Shockwaves are my fave for the same size as Talon.

Don't know where you get the Big Joe's rubbish bit from, and the weight - with wheel?

We're talking about a high powered BL rig here.

My Maxx has no problems with BJ1's on alloy wheels running 6S through an XL2.

If I came across grass as high as the truck, I wouldn't go there anyway as it would wrap around the axles.
