Soo yeah this happened

Quick update,  got the electric start one going. Didn't realise the drive shaft grub screw needed to go onto a flat part of the shaft. The bodyshell that came with it isn't right,  it's slightly smaller than a 1/10 so will have to try and find one. The exhaust is leaking too. Is there any type of liquid gasket that is effective?

This stuff works great for sealing all kinds off leaks, used it myself recently.

Try sourcing a smaller sized exhaust gasket from your lhs and if it's not a perfect fit use some of the rtv to seal it up better.
