Best way to fully flatten a P2 battery?

I'm currently siting here with my P2 switched on, & it's flashing away, annoying everyone, trying to flatten the battery to then charge it back up.

would it harm it if I let the motors spin on tick over? (No props obviously)

on tick over will be ok.  just check heat from motors now and again.

Flattening a battery?

Use a hammer, that should make it pretty flat, if you want it wafer thin you might need to send it through a pasta maker machine Jimbo

I was going to suggest tying the pos and neg leads together but considering you want to use it again maby not...I second the just finding a light load, such as the quad without props and don't let the RPMS get to high, check heat...or a few 50W bulbs will do a nice trick.

 

There are also these battery checkers that hook up to bulbs, search ebay for AOK3in1 battery balancer, or just use your lipo to power your charger like you would from a leisure battery and charge another one if ur charger is DC and you have the cable.

Do you leave the Phantom batteries flat for storage? (Almost flat, 1.5-2 bars on indicator lights)

The smart batteries self discharge don't they? Or at least they do on the p3 down to a safe level for storage....

Yep, if left fully charged they discharge to 50% after 10 days of inactivity, mine is currently 30-40% I think is probably best to leave it as is?

I would charge them a little. Then leave them be....
