Following on from the Jumpshot MT Hpi annouced these at the Nuremberg toy fair:

JUMPSHOT SC

The Jumpshot SC is based on the latest fun 2WD truck from HPI that gives you the awesome short course racing truck look combined with a modular, TVP (Twin Vertical Plate) chassis that’s easy to work on and fun rear-wheel drive action! With front and rear ‘basher’ bumpers and oil-filled shocks, the Jumpshot SC is ready for the rigors of off-road bashing, plus all-terrain tires and waterproof electronics let you drive the truck just about anywhere. Ready for LiPo batteries, a standard NiMH battery and charger are included so you get driving right away. The Jumpshot SC is ready for hours of fun!

If you’re looking for an easy to drive, fun and durable stadium truck, the Jumpshot ST is definitely what you need! With its Savage-style TVP (Twin Vertical Plate) chassis and modular design, tough suspension and big tires, the truck is able to go just about anywhere so you can get your big-air action fix any time! To help take the abuse of all that stunt action, the Jumpshot ST has big oil-filled shocks, wide all-terrain tires, plus a tough double-wishbone suspension and waterproof electronics! You can use the standard NiMH battery included with the kit or a LiPo battery for extra power and runtime so you can have hours of fun!

And if you've already got the Blitz and Firestorm, why bother releasing these? Especially when the X-Maxx is taking the world by lemon? Sorry, storm, taking the world by storm, that's what I meant.

And how, exactly, would you know that, Sir!? :whistling:

Our resident citrus RC tester told us all so :P

I must say though the ST colour scheme looks suitably impressive - I concur re all the other comments though - Unless Hpi are disconituning the branding I think HPI should have released them under there Maverick brand.

So they should never Release a new RC as they already have two good ones?

Obviously they should still make new models, but in this case they already have a really good ST and SC. The Jumpshot ST, even with a sorted gearbox, is no Firestorm so why would you choose one? The current MT version is only £20 less than a brushed Firestorm so its not like its a cheaper option.

My bet is that once the SC and ST Jumpshots are released we'll see the brushed versions of the Firestorm and Blitz in favor of just Flux models. They might well get a few upgrades (alloy shocks would be nice) and a higher price tag to match. That would set up the Firestorm platform as the 'premium' chassis and the Jumpshot as the 'budget' option.

Incidentally as I understood it Maverick aren't exactly HPI. They are Himoto's rebranded and distributed by HPI Europe through their network. As the current 'under administration' situation has shown, HPI Europe and HPI Worldwide are very different entities.
